Detox Wraps

Do you feel sluggish or slightly unwell? If you’ve been getting headaches, your head feels unclear, or you just don’t feel right, you might be suffering from a build up of toxins in the body. Detox wraps are one way to detoxify your body while getting pampered at the same time!

Benefits of a Detox Wrap

A detox wrap is not only a relaxing spa experience. It also has great effects on your body with benefits including:
  • detoxifying the whole body and leaving the skin glowing
  • stimulation of the lymphatic system
  • helps detoxify other bodily organs
  • essential nutrients nourishing the body
  • helping the appearance of cellulite
  • tightens, smoothes and softens skin
  • assists in weight loss

The Treatment Process

Detox wrap treatments will vary according to the therapist but they commonly include massages to help stimulate the lymphatic system and start the detox process. The body is then wrapped with a special mud or clay to help draw toxins out through the skin. The components of this mud or clay include clay, minerals, herbal extracts, homeopathic remedies, fatty acids and muds that are rich in trace minerals, vitamins and proteins.

The mud or clay is applied to the body and the body is then wrapped in natural cotton or muslin bandages and possibly a thermal blanket. The mud or clay is then removed using towels or possibly showered off before the skin is moisturized.
