Is Gastric Band Hypnosis For You?

Is Gastric Band Hypnosis For You?
Have you tried everything to lose weight and failed? Is your Body Mass Index (BMI) 35 or over? Are you 100% committed to eating smaller portions of nutrient-rich foods and exercising for the rest of your life? Answer YES to these questions, you are an excellent candidate for gastric band hypnosis.

Real gastric band surgery is no picnic.. It can be complicated and risky, with unpleasant side effects. Over 80 per cent of patients experience nausea, reflux, obstruction or blockage, constipation, diarrhea, and difficulty swallowing. At about AUD$10,000, it’s also very expensive.

Having an imaginary gastric band fitted is an ingenious way of losing weight without having to go through the trauma and expense of surgery.

What's Involved in Gastric Band Hypnosis?

Once you decide to proceed, you will attend four or five hypnotherapy sessions on consecutive days or during a two-week period. The sessions last up to two hours where you explore eating habits, strengthen your motivation, and deal with factors related to your weight issues. And, of course, each session includes hypnosis. The last session involves fitting the gastric band. Eight weeks later, you come back for a follow-up session to tighten or loosen the band.

How Does Gastric Band Hypnosis Affect Eating Habits?

With a stomach the size of a tennis ball, people who have actual gastric band surgery are urged eat well-balanced, nutritious meals. It’s no good getting full on a piece of chocolate and expecting to stay healthy.

The same applies to gastric band hypnosis. Your hypnotherapist will give you instructions on what you should and should not eat. For example, for the two days after your gastric band is fitted, you are restricted to a liquid diet. For the next two weeks, you eat soft foods only. After that, you can start eating all textures of food, but will avoid sugary, fatty foods that have no nutritional value.

If you are concerned about how your weight is affecting your health and wellbeing, gastric band hypnosis is an excellent way of losing weight safely and maintaining a healthy body for the rest of your life.
