The Institute is a democratic and open organization that was developed to service Kinesiologists and Kinesiology in Australia.

Welcome to Australian Institute of Kinesiologists Ltd
The Institute was established in 1998 and is now represented by three branches across Australia, namely Brisbane, Perth and Victoria.
The Institute focuses on:- Strengthening, accrediting and maintaining professional standards in Kinesiology
- Promoting all accredited modalities of Kinesiology within the community.
- Encouraging the recognition of Kinesiology within the health community.
- Communicating and consulting with Government Reference Groups such as the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council.
- Promoting knowledge and skills sharing through branch meetings, guest speakers, a quarterly newsletter and an annual conference.

The Institute is established for the purposes set out below:- To promote and foster the understanding of all Accredited Modalities of Kinesiology;
- To promote and foster meeting and to encourage the sharing of knowledge and ideas between practitioners of Accredited Modalities of Kinesiology;
- To formulate, accredit and publish uniform standards for Kinesiology practice and use these standards to facilitate the development and management of Kinesiology;
- To work towards recognition of the role of Kinesiology;
- To work towards the official recognition of Kinesiology by government as a recognized branch of the health and healing profession; and
- To work towards improved health and the relief of sickness and suffering within the Commonwealth of Australia.
