The Australian Association of Massage Therapists Limited (AAMT) is the peak representative body for massage therapists in Australia formed after the consolidation of five major massage Associations across Australia.
AAMT - Australian Association of Massage Therapists
AAMT provides a public service by maintaining a register of qualified practitioners for referral and for responding to enquiries and complaints from the public. It is this strong commitment to protecting the public, health and massage professions which has led the AAMT and its individual members to new levels of recognition.
Serving our recognised Members
AAMT is an independent not-for-profit organisation currently representing over 5,500 members.
The AAMT fosters high standards of ethical and professional practice and currently self regulates the massage therapy industry. These standards are achieved by recognising individual practioners for membership that hold formal qualifications defined by the Australian National Training Quality Framework though the Health Training Package.
AAMT certifies massage therapists on behalf of the profession for the benefit of consumers, health fund providers, and employers.
Serving the Public
The AAMT provides a free referral service for the public to ensure they receive the best possible treatment and care. AAMT members can be found in the ‘Find a Therapist’ section or by contacting the AAMT office on 1300 138 872.
