Christopher Tang

Chris is the proprietor of Eastern Vitality Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine and has been operating in Box Hill (Box Hill Complete Health) since 2008. He is a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbal Medicine practitioner. He is also a practicing member of AACMA.
Having been exposed to Chinese Medicine in many forms from a very young age, Chris naturally decided to pursue a career in Acupuncture at the age of 17. After nearly 7 years of tertiary education and post-grad studies, he graduated with a Bachelor in Health Science (Acupuncture) from the Australian College of Natural Medicine and a Masters in Applied Science (Chinese Herbal Medicine) with Distinction from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
Ever since establishing his own private practice, Chris has always had a special interest in fertility and pregnancy. He soon became strongly linked to Bellybelly which is an online pregnancy forum, providing fertility, maternal and pregnancy support and advice to thousands of parents and parents-to-be, all across Australia and abroad. He is the sole Chinese Medicine practitioner on the professional support panel.
Chris also comes highly recommended by midwives from the ‘Know-Your-Midwife’ program at the Box Hill Maternity Hospital (Biralee). He works hand-in-hand with them to help women on the program to have the best possible pregnancy and incident-free, natural births.
Since graduating, Chris has been tutoring Acupuncture students at the Australian College of Natural Medicine. Now he is a clinical supervisor for senior students at the Endeavour College of Natural Health. He thrives in getting the best out of students and enjoys providing them with the knowledge and tools to be good and successful practitioners.
In 2011, Chris has also established himself to be the Acupuncturist of the Rabodirect Melbourne Rebels Rugby Club in their inaugural year and the Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club. He sees professional rugby players with acute and chronic injuries to help quicken their recovery process so that they can get back on the playing field quicker.

Chris loves helping his patients to achieve optimum health, fertility and relief of pain. Continually seeing great outcomes from treating others is rewarding for Chris.
Chris’ strengths are in treating musculoskeletal disorders and he has a special interest in gynecological disorders, fertility, pregnancy and post-natal treatments, including labor preparation and induction.
His treatments include Acupuncture, herbs (patent and granulated), cupping, massage, gua sha and acupressure.
