Every body is better with Bowen
What is Bowen?
Bowtech, the original Bowen Technique, is a gentle form of body work in which very subtle moves are performed over the muscles and connective tissue sending healing messages deep into the body. Results can be remarkable, even from the first session; often only a few sessions are needed to correct the presenting problem.
Bowen is a gentle remedial therapy using rolling movements of the fingers and thumbs over specific points, which stimulate the body to rebalance itself, promoting healing, pain relief and recovery of energy.
BOWEN THERAPY
Bowen therapy is a muscle and connective tissue therapy using precise movements to stimulate healing. Bowen helps to ease stress, and aids in the recovery of illness and injury. Bowen is done with a series of specific moves with pauses between them. The moves re-set and re-balance muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves thereby helping with pain, sport or traumatic injuries including back, neck, shoulder, hip, elbow, and knee pain; sciatica; digestive and bowel problems; migraines and headaches; body pains; etc.
THE BENEFITS
The principal benefit of Bowen Therapy is the often rapid and long term or permanent remission from pain, reduced stress, greater mobility and improved physical and emotional quality and enjoyment of life. Additional benefits can include increased energy, improvement in the immune system, rebalancing of the body, improved circulation, lymphatic drainage and detoxification. Further and important benefits of Bowen Therapy are that it has few contraindications. It is very gentle, relaxing and non-invasive involving no manipulation, and is therefore ideal for everyone including children and the aged.
