Prices
One off treatment:
Diagnosis and immediate treatment, 1 hour, $65
Course of treatment:
Course of five treatments, $180
* Diagnosis session – 1 hour
* Four follow up sessions – ½ hour each
Course of ten treatments, $300
* Diagnosis session – 1 hour
* Nine follow up sessions – ½ hour each
Follow Up Treatment
All follow up treatments are ½ hour sessions at $35
Please note that ½ hour follow up treatments can only be provided where the condition has already been diagnosed. Diagnosis is more time consuming and will always require a 1 hour booking.
Home Visits
For an additional call-out fee of $25, a practitioner can come to you. This service is limited to the inner-South and inner-North suburbs of Canberra.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR TREATMENT
A first consultation will take approximately 1 hour and will include:
* A discussion of your symptoms
* A physical examination (with your consent)
* Diagnosis
* Creating a treatment plan
* A treatment (about 30 minutes)
Treatment may include (at your option):
* Acupuncture
* Massage
* Moxabustion or heat lamp treatment
* Cupping
* Gua Sha (a strong releasing massage technique)
* Corrective exercises
Your treatment plan will cover:
* Number of treatments likely to be needed
* Review dates
* Realistic outcomes
* Lifestyle recommendations to support your treatment
YOUR RIGHTS WHILST RECEIVING ACUPUNCTURE
You have the right to:
* Receive relevant health information from your practitioner and to discuss benefits, risks, cost of treatment, alternative and the optimal course of action
* Receive guidance, have questions answered, be advised of conflicts of interest and to receive independent medical opinion
* To receive copies or summaries of your treatment records
* Make decisions and either accept or reject my health care recommendations or treatment even though the treatment may impart bruising, bleeding or other reactions
* To be treated with dignity, respect, responsiveness, courtesy and timely attention to your medical needs
* To confidentially and to informed consent unless this is a need to protect the welfare of an individual or public interest
* Continuity of health care
* Sufficient and reasonable assistance in making alternative arrangements for care if the practitioner feels it is in the patients or mutual highest interest
