TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) was formed more than 2000 years ago and has now become an accepted form of medicine in the west. In TCM the body is thought to circulate a biological energy or life force called Qi. The Qi flows through energy channels called meridians, linking and intergrating the organs and tissues to make sure they function optimally. During difficult times or illness the balance and strength of Qi flowing through the meridians is disrupted, resulting in a discomfort or disease. TCM stimulates the affected areas along these meridians and acts to restore the balance of Qi thereby improving your health.
ACUPUNCTURE This is where tiny, fine, flexible pins are inserted into specific points on the surface of the body, which can then be manipulated to gain the desired effect in relation to the diagnosis.
