SERVICES
Find out how to achieve a better sense of health and well-being through optimum nutrition, herbal & homoeopathic remedies.

Don't waste time and money trying different diets and supplements which may not suit your needs.

Through a thorough assessment of your eating and lifestyle habits and in conjunction with other diagnostic aids such as zinc status & gut toxicity testing, bioelectrical impedance analysis, and iridology your treatment plan will be customised to you.

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a multi-disciplinary approach to illness and health. It comprises several systems of diagnosis and treatment, including iridology, herbal medicine, and nutritional advice. Its aim is to promote health rather than confront disease and, where possible, to educate people toward improving their lifestyles in order to prevent further illness. Naturopathy relies on treatment designed to stimulate the immune system to overcome sickness and restore health.

It is largely the environment that we create in our bodies that controls our resistance to disease. If the body is burdened with impurities and toxins we may find it more difficult to ward off illness. By using the healing powers of nutritious foods and herbs we can give our bodies the best possible chance for health. When correctly used, herbal medicine and nutrition can be combined and targeted to activate, regulate, heal or support any part of the body.

Naturopathic medicine is therefore directed toward restoring balance in our functions. It can help us to overcome negative emotions, teach us ways to cope with stress, and correct physical obstacles to normal functioning. This wholistic approach addresses the needs of the physical, chemical, and emotional components of the body in order to achieve optimal health.

Weight Control

Frequently, there can be more to weight control than just diet and exercise. Even though these things are very important, hormonal imbalances, stress, and toxins can all prevent successful fat loss no matter how good the diet and exercise plan. Using the wholistic approach of naturopathy, these obstacles to weight control can be addressed so as to maximise results.

Yo-yo dieting will lead to a slowing down of the bodies metabolic rate, or internal furnace, so that weight loss becomes more and more difficult with each attempt. Understanding the underlying issues is imperative to be able to keep the weight off once the desired goal has been reached.

Natural Fertility

What you and your partner do for a few months before conception can have lifelong effects on your child.

From conception to the end of the first trimester, your baby's mass increases over 2½ million times. A diet with nutritional deficiences may go unnoticed in day-to-day life but may not be able to support the high nutritional demands of a pregnancy.

Pre-conception and pregnancy care increase your chances of:

  • Problem free conception

  • Healthy, full-term pregnancy

  • Short and straight forward labour without medical intervention

  • Successful breast-feeding

  • Bright, healthy baby

What to Expect in a Consultation

An initial naturopathic consult takes about 45 minutes. During this time a complete medical history will be taken, and the status of each system of your body, such as the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, will be reviewed and assessed. Iridology may then be used for a deeper insight into these systems. Your diet will be evaluated and suggestions made where necessary. If required, a herbal formula, homoeopathic remedy, or nutritional supplement may be prescribed to support the body as it heals itself.

Your follow up consultation, usually in 2 weeks time, will take about 20 minutes. Your experiences over the last few weeks will be discussed and your systems reviewed to determine what improvements have taken place. Any difficulties encountered will be talked about and various solutions to overcome or minimize these problems suggested.
