PRIVATE SESSIONS

Holistic counselling is a gentle yet efficient way of dealing with and healing issues and emotions that arise from our everyday life. Within a private session the space is created for you to feel relaxed and comfortable with the practitioner to enable an open communication that begins to flow without your defences having to be present.

As sharing begins the healing process starts, and depending upon the needs of the client the counsellor will utilise the techniques for clearing the blocks that are restricting the body, mind and spirit of the client.


The private sessions are confidential, and last up to 90 minutes each.

PANIC, DEPRESSION & ANXIETY DISORDERS

In society today these 3 are prevalent, and consume a great part of life for those who are experiencing them. They seem to creep up on you slowly until the symptoms begin to show in how you think, feel, act and react in your world.

For some it may only affect certain aspects of their life and for others it can become a crippling force that stops their lives from moving as they retreat into themselves through fear.
With most people there is always a point a cause or disruption that has triggered within them this experience.

Through Holistic Counselling the practitioner will gently find the cause and from there will clear the mind of the restraints, in other words to diminish the effects the cause has created in your life.
This process can allow healing to occur and life to begin to flow more easily into the world again. Over time the client can allow change back in and spontaneity in their life, relationships, career and friends and family.


GRIEF COUNSELLING

Grief itself can be one of the most transforming emotions that anyone can experience.
Yet at the onset of grief, in all its pain and suffering, this transformation is hard to imagine let alone understand. Grief itself is a process of allowing each and every emotion to be given its rein within your mind, body, and spirit. As each feeling and emotion washes over you it may stay with you for hours, days, weeks, months or even years. Depending upon how you look at each emotion and how you become aware through the various stages of grief, will depend on how long they last.

Through Holistic Counselling the stages are honoured and cleared more effectively as you are shown how to accept them and let go of them from a holistic point of view.


DHYANA YOGA BREATHING TECHNIQUES

Dhyana Yoga is an ancient form of meditation that focuses on clearing the mind and balancing the breath.

Much of today’s mental illnesses are created from the mind and its ability to control the person. Within the techniques of breathing and clearing the thought levels, the mind begins to slow down and calm down again. This is how peace can move back into its rightful place. You see today many are subjected to so much stimuli from external forces that there is no place left between the confusion of thoughts and the peace of who you really are.

Many today are craving to be still, to clear their mind chatter even for just 5 minutes a day. This stillness and mind clearing is attainable through application and practice of Dhyana Yoga, which is meditation to clear the mind and movement of the breath to relax the breathing system.

Slowly this practice begins the changes needed to become at home again in yourself and to drop deeply into surrender of your attatchments to your life and this world.


E.F.T.: Emotional freedom technique

Emotional Freedom Technique is a refreshing new approach in relieving the effects of Trauma, anger, fears, phobias, depression, anxiety, stress and other emotional issues.
In essence it is an emotional form of acupuncture without using needles. It is about tuning in to the emotion while stimulating stress relief points by tapping with the fingertips.
Using this technique along with other counselling techniques the client can access a deeper healing that at times is not apparent to the client.
Because the Emotional Freedom Technique is so easy to learn and apply, the client is able to continue using it out of sessions, especially as emotions arise between each session with the practitioner.


REMOVING OBSTACLES TO LOVE

Removing obstacles to love is a journey that begins with the surrender of our masks, our beliefs that were created and held onto through our childhood and adolescence. As you experience being abandoned, rejected, smothered, loneliness, diss-association from those close to you i.e. parents, siblings, friends, boyfriends, partners, husbands, or children then you may encounter a feeling that is not good and you then find a need to either hide yourself or protect yourself or project yourself differently into the world. This is when you discover how to place in front of you a mask or take on a different belief other than the truth of who you really are. In other words some may believe that they are not good enough or the opposite they place a mask in front of them that says I am better than, yet none of them is real, for what is real and is revealed through removing the obstacles is love.
Once the obstacles begin to fall away you free yourself up to allow love back in and you begin to give more freely of yourself and receive more freely. Your view of life changes and you see the people closest to you through the eyes of love not from the masks and beliefs you set up in front of you.


FAMILY CONSTELLATIONS

Family Constellations is a therapy beyond words, it is where the practitioner connects the client with their lineage, their ancestors.

It is about being in harmony with my soul and with whatever my soul connects me to. That means, I am in harmony with my origin, with my father, my mother, and with everyone who further belongs to my family, my siblings, grandparents, uncles and aunts and with the dead ones of my family.

To be in harmony with them means I honour them the way they are or were, I give them a place in my heart and in my soul the way they are or were, I feel at one with and connected to them the way they are or were, including their fate, their pain and their death.

To be in such harmony with them means my soul becomes wide and open, permeable for the flow from them to me, the flow through me to others.

In counselling Family Constellations helps to go deeper and clear the energy blocks that are carried down from generation to generation, the patterns that are played out through family lineage and affect the life of the ones living and trying to understand why they do the things they do, or why their children may take on family traits that are not so good.

When found and given back to the one it connects you to a healing on a grand scale is accomplished. This is not just for the individual but also for the ones gone and for future generations.


THE WORK The great undoing

The work is a process of undoing your thoughts, on asking 4 simple questions, you inquire into your thought and then turn it around, and the thought leaves you. One question that you are asked regarding your thoughts is: Do you think to have a thought or did the thought just appear in your mind?

You get to see through using “the work” that you are not your thoughts. This is very beneficial for clients who have attached to a thought for a very long time maybe even years. You see it is the attachment to our thoughts that cause suffering. When you attach to your thought you begin to believe it is true, so in other words a belief is a thought you have been attaching to for years.

Through doing the work on your thoughts in a counselling session you begin to see that your thoughts are not who you are. This becomes very freeing and liberating for the client. You begin to drop the stories about your life as your thoughts no longer grip you to their beliefs.

For many this can be a turning point in their life, in their relationships, and in their own mind.


DIRECT EXPERIENCE

Direct experience is used to bring back in to the client the un-healed emotions, beliefs and stories that have been hidden, through the client not wanting to experience them again. Unfortunately what happens to these unwanted projections is that they stay with you, constantly knocking at your door wanting to come home.

To bring them back into yourself is not to go through the emotion / story again; it is about bringing closure and wholeness to the energy that has been stuck outside of you for so long.

Once this is achieved through a simple meditation the body begins to feel balanced,

And no longer do you need to experience emotions and feelings caused through past trauma and conflicts.

The client notices a calming affect and relaxation within the body /mind, which stays with them over time.


REIKI HEALING

Reiki is a natural form of hands on healing, it utilises the universal life force energies and not the limited individual mind force energy.

The benefits of a reiki treatment are numerous, depending on the client and the effects. Most people receive an over all benefit of deep relaxation that begins a process of the body’s natural healing abilities to kick in. While on the table some may experience deep insights through inner guidance, and connection to a greater source than the limited mind of the body.

The healing benefits occur as the mind stills and the body relaxes, giving the space between each thought to become more expansive and free to heal.

Reiki treatments can last up to 60 minutes and a succession of 3 weekly sessions is recommended for the benefits to be long lasting.




ABOUT THE PRACTITIONER

Caroline is a Holistic Counsellor, Facilitator, and Natural Intuitive with over 18 years experience. She uses her abilities to see beyond the body/mind and its constraints, gently utilising her life skills, connection to guidance and training to go beyond the perceived world.

As she works one on one with her clients, her gentleness and compassion allows the space for true healing to occur.

Caroline has facilitated workshops, lectured at seminars, written for magazines and appeared on local radio. She combines her wealth of life experiences as she holds groups and private sessions throughout Brisbane.
