Polly Ambermoon: Chinese Medicine Practitioner








Polly holds a BHSc (Acupuncture) and is a registered practitioner with the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association. She also has 15 years of experience in health and social science research, in the areas of psychology, addiction and the neurosciences. She has recently been appointed Visiting Allied Health Practitioner at Greenslopes Private Hospital, providing acupuncture to women undergoing IVF as part of an Acupuncture Fertility Trial.

In her clinical practice, Polly has an interest in gynecology and obstetrics, neurological conditions and addiction, however she also offers treatment for a wide range of other disorders and health concerns.

Polly's acupuncture technique is gentle and sensitive to the needs of her clients.



Ambermoon Acupuncture Clinic

Ambermoon Acupuncture provides quality healthcare in a supportive and understanding environment. Chinese medicine is used to treat a broad range of health conditions and can also be used for prevention of disease and maintenance of health.

  • Women's health: menstrual problems, prenatal and postnatal care, fertility, menopausal symptoms, and other gynecological concerns such as endometriosis, polycystic ovaries and fibroids

  • Mood disorders: depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress

  • Neurological conditions: post-stroke care, Bell's Palsy, adjunctive and supportive treatment for Parkinson's disease, vertigo and dizziness, headaches and migraines, nerve dysfunction including numbness and neuralgia (nerve pain)

  • Musculoskeletal: chronic pain, neck and upper back pain (including whiplash injuries), low back pain, sporting injuries, sprains and strains, arthritis and joint pain, sciatica

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Insomnia and sleep disorders

  • Colds & flu: including sore throat/tonsilitis, sinusitis

  • Respiratory: cough, asthma, bronchitis, uncomfortable sensation in the throat
