Dr. Andrea Ormazabal is a registered Osteopath and a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association. As a health professional and clinician with over 15 years working in the health industry, Andrea has experienced health care on a number of levels within Nursing & Midwifery before qualifying as an Osteopath in 2007.
Post graduate qualifications in Obstetric and Paediatric Osteopathy allow Andrea too clinically assess and treat musculoskeletal injuries from the toddler to the senior, sporting injuries, pregnancy / postnatal related issues, Women's health, babies and children.
With a keen interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation the focus of treatment embraces lifestyle factors - Home and workplace ergonomics, exercise, nutrition and stress relief which are central too the holistic approach and crucial in designing rehabilitation programs and exercise prescription to suit each client’s specific needs. Andrea is also fluent in the Spanish language and is pleased to clarify all treatment approaches with clients.
How does Osteopathy work?
Osteopathic treatment techniques are “hands on”, encouraging mobility too the joints and tissues of the body restoring function by reducing pain & inflammation. Treatment applications can include Soft tissue work and massage, Functional & Cranial Sacral therapy, Trigger point dry needling, Stretching & Manipulation of skeletal joints all of which contribute to promptly and effectively get you moving again!
