SIRODHARA THERAPY
How it works
A continuous rhythmic flow of medicated oil is poured at a specific temperature from a specific height onto the third eye area, inducing an experience of deep relaxation, leaving one in a stste of meditation.
The process lasts for about half an hour. It is followed by an Ayurvedic head massage. The practitioner will work on specific marma points to help stabilise the nervous function, thus resulting in a sense of calmness, whilst being bright & alert

KATI BASTI THERAPY
The Therapist prepares dough from special grains which is shaped into a small ring & placed on the affected area. This adheres to the skin & is then filled with heated, medicated oil. The oil is retained within the ring at a specific temperature for a specific time. This helps the oil to penetrate deeper into the tissues, softening the stiff & tight muscles.
Once the oil is removed the therapist will massage specific marma points around the affected area to repair ligaments & tendons.
Why it is different ?
Due to the nature of the problem, the muscles around the area are generally stiff, tight or inflamed. In Kati Basti, the focus is to first prepare the affected area to soften the muscles & to relax the surrounding tissues. It helps to heal the muscle in much better way by making it supple before manipulation.

BREATHING EXERCISE, PRANAYAMA
Patanjali has said that one develops concentration and clarity of thought by practising Pranayama. It helps in increasing the mental and physical powers of endurance. It is the path to deeper relaxation and meditation and is a scientific method of controlling breath. It provides complete relaxation to the nervous system. It provides relief from pain caused by the compression of nerve endings. It helps in increasing oxygen supply to the brain which in turn helps controlling the mind.
MEDITATION
Regular meditation practice offers numerous health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, strengthening the immune system, and releasing stress and fatigue. In fact, meditating for half an hour provides more psychological rest than a full night's sleep. As you meditate on a regular basis, you will notice an increased sense of wellbeing as well as greater energy and creativity.
AYURVEDIC DIET
Since body types vary and react in different ways, eating an Ayurvedic diet will benefit each person differently. Eating a diet high in Ayurveda foods can improve health and memory; increase energy and endurance; and help in the prevention of disease. Anurodh is a Ayurvedic LifeStyle Consultant and trained under the world renowned Ayurvedic Doctor ( Dr S. Ajit ) at the Australasian Institute Of Ayurvedic Studies.
Anurodh has an Ayurvedic clinic at Mt Gravatt, Logan rd, Brisbane. He sees clients from all walks of life, dealing with conditions such as stress, digestive problems, shoulder neck & back pain, migraines, sinus problems, lack of energy, anxiety, depression, hot flushes and more.
