About Me

I am a professionally trained, qualified and experienced practitioner of homoeopathic medicine. I am a registered professional which means you may be able to claim health fund rebates depending upon your level of cover.

I believe in illness prevention, knowing that many easily curable conditions may become harmful if left untreated. Your first consult I will conduct a thorough health assessment with a individualised approach according to your specific health needs.

My love for homoeopathy first began while living abroad in New York City. Because of the healthcare system in America I looked for alternatives. I was introduced to Homoeopathy and was impressed not only by the effectiveness of Homoeopathy but also by the long lasting health results and my overall improvement in well-being. I gave up my career in photography in NY and moved back to Australia after a long absence and immediately enrolled in a Bachelor Degree at Nature Care College. Since graduating my passion has only increased whilst in practice as I am caring for whole families from the newborn to the elderly which has allowed me to bring positive health results in peoples lives.

Homoeopathy

What is Homoeopathy?
Homoeopathy is a complete system of medicine developed by German Physician and chemist, Dr Samuel Hahnemann based on the principles of "like cures like".

Hahnemann found that many substances, when administered to healthy people, could produce symptoms similar to those experienced by sick people. He also found that illnesses could be ameliorated by using small, specially prepared doses of these substances, if prescribed on the basis of similarity of symptoms.

For example, coffee stimulates the nervous system and the production of urine. A homoeopathic dose of coffee can cure a patient troubled with unusual mental activity and sleeplessness together with excessive urine production.

In the last 200 years the clinical effectiveness of homoeopathy has been clearly demonstrated and today homoeopathy is used worldwide and is recognised by the World Health Organisation as a valid form of healthcare.

What Conditions can Homoeopathy treat?
Homoeopathy can be used to treat a wide range of symptoms such as:

• Acute Complaints - colds, coughs, earaches, food poisoning etc.
• Chronic Complaints - Skin conditions, depression, headaches, behavioural problems, digestive disturbances, asthma, arthritis etc.

There are many common ailments that come naturally with age such as with the cardiovascular system. The idea has been suggested that the cardiovascular system may well be the origin of ageing of the whole body. Cardiac output begins to decrease after the third decade of life and blood flow to all tissues is reduced. It is important to start treatment as early as possible so we can manage in prevention opposed to when things turn irreversible.

In general when treating the elderly it is important to consider all factors in the treatment plan. There are many changes that occur when we age and although it is important to look at there overall health we must also consider psychological and emotional factors which may be present. Isolation or death of a loved one are common occurrences and can result in emotional, behavioral and physical disorders. Besides the ‘normal’ changes that come with ageing, many prescription drugs can cause many side effects and since Homoeopathic medicines are safe to use in conjunction with conventional drugs it is a safe combination in maintaining good health for the elderly.
