Hi, my name is Annette, I began my working life as a Legal Secretary. I then became a Learn to Swim Teacher and a Masseuse, working at a girls' school in Brisbane, I became the School Masseuse and a member of the Swimming Coaching Team, and I implemented a Talented Development Programme offering massage to athletes at the school. I have a Diploma in Remedial Therapy - Massage and I have been massaging since 1976. I have concentrated on Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage and Structural Alignment.
I have always used Acupuncture as my preferred personal form of health treatment and in 2006 I began study for a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture. I studied in China, to see Acupuncture used in Teaching Hospitals in Nanning. This was an amazing experience to see acupuncture used to treat all illness, from stroke to acne. Some of the hospitals in China are Acupuncture only, so there are no conditions that they do not treat successfully. When acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are a part of the culture it is amazing to see everyone from young children to the elderley use the modality.
