Hydrotherapy
What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy (Aquatic Physiotherapy) is a specific physiotherapy technique. Similar to a traditional physiotherapy session, the therapist applies their skills, knowledge and manual techniques, whilst you are in the water. This means that the therapist is in the water with you during every consultation.
What can you expect?
During Hydrotherapy sessions, you can expect to receive individualised treatment. This is followed by the provision of a personal exercise program during every visit, specific to your needs.
Why choose Hydrotherapy?
Many clients need to exercise but this is sometimes too difficult on land due to pain, age, deformity, etc. Water is often the best medium because you can exercise quite vigorously but with little stress on the joints. So too, the heat of the water assists in comfort, with temperatures maintained at a pleasant 32 degrees Celsius.
