Acupuncture Clinic
Traditional Chinese Medicine is the world’s oldest form of medicine, used for millennia to treat a variety of ailments.
Acupuncture is the primary form of Traditional Chinese Medicine practiced at the Endeavour College clinic and uses fine, single use, sterile needles that are gently inserted under the skin. The stimulation that occurs in the body from acupuncture has a therapeutic homeostatic effect, helping to restore the body’s healthy balance. Acupuncture is beneficial in the treatment of migraines, headaches, back and muscular pain, digestive disorders and more. Ask at our student clinic to see if Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine can help you. Consultations take about 90 minutes.

This senior level aromatherapy clinic combines the benefits of aromatic footbath, then specialised aromatherapy massage techniques, with therapeutic applications of essential oils to create a holistic, healing and deeply relaxing treatment. Advanced understanding of essential oil dynamics allows practitioners to create specialised oil blends for clients to use at home, as well as create tailored products such as shampoos, body washes and moisturisers to suit clients’ unique needs.

Homeopathy Clinic
Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed by Dr Samuel Hahnemann in the 1800’s, based on ‘like cures like”.
This form of treatment relies upon individualisation of the client symptoms and prescribing medicine that closely fits these symptoms. Homeopathic students at Endeavour College receive intensive clinical experience under strict supervision.
The Homeopath treats the client as a unique individual and builds a comprehensive profile of all symptoms: mental, physical, emotional, aches and pains. Case history and consultation may take 90 minutes; the practitioner then prepares a treatment plan. Once approved by a supervisor the recommendations are presented to the client and treatment plan discussed. Initial consultations may take up to 2 hours; follow-up consultations may be only 45 minutes. Homeopathic medicine is dispensed in small sugar pills or liquid form and taken as single or in multiple doses. All remedies are $5 each.

Herbal Medicine Clinic
The Naturopathy, Nutrition and Herbal Medicine Student Clinics are an excellent place to come to treat a variety of common health concerns.
For an acute illness or chronic health problem or for preventative suggestions to maintain good health, the first 90 minute consultation includes: the case history, including family health history, diet, lifestyle and discussion of current symptoms or current health issues. The Student Practitioner may look at physical signs such as blood pressure, do iris analysis or review recent biomedical (blood or other) test results. They research, prepare and present a treatment plan to their supervisor (an experienced Clinician who reviews all recommendations to ensure accuracy). When the treatment plan is approved, the Student Practitioner meets again with client to discuss recommendations and prescribe suitable remedies. Return visits are shorter, typically only 60 minutes. The Naturopath promotes diet and lifestyle to support long term wellness and provides short term improvements with herbal medicine, nutritional supplements and flower essences. Nutritionists focus on the therapeutic effect of foods and can make specific dietary recommendations to optimise health. Herbalists may recommend therapeutic doses of medicinal plants in suitable forms including herbal teas, liquid herb mixes, tablet combinations, flower essences and creams. The effective use of these medicines may heal and help restore balance and wellbeing.

Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage uses a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure against the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, ligaments, tendons and connective tissue.
The techniques are flowing and rhythmic to enhance overall relaxation. Oil is applied to the skin to prevent friction during gliding and kneading techniques. The therapist uses hands, fingers, thumbs, forearms and elbows, applying gentle pressure at a level comfortable for the client. Swedish massage can stimulate the skin and nervous system and soothe the nerves, reducing both emotional and physical stress. A full body relaxation massage will generally include the following areas: back, back of legs and feet, front of legs, abdomen, chest, arms and hands, neck, face and scalp. Clients may decide which areas of the body they wish to include. The treatment is 45 minutes
with towel draping used for comfort and privacy.

Reflexology
Many cultures throughout the world believe that massaging the feet and maintaining good foot health maintains strong physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance.
Reflexology is a simple, safe, effective, non-invasive therapy. The organs, glands and all parts of the body are represented with reflex points on the feet, hands and ears. Stimulating these points using specific techniques, directly affects the corresponding organ. Reflexologists do not treat specific conditions, but rather work all the systems of the body through the feet every session.
Reflexology is useful for assisting and strengthening all the body systems and is especially helpful for digestive, or musculoskeletal problems, and assisting clients with anxiety or depression. Under close lecturer supervision, personalised treatment plans are developed for each client. Treatments are about 90 minutes and include a footbath. Clients are treated face up fully clothed on a massage table.
All Appointments (90 minutes) $35

Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage, a deeply therapeutic massage, treats damaged muscles and tendons.
The massage techniques may be gentle, strong, deep or shallow, depending on the case and the client. Remedial massage is holistic, treating the source not just the symptoms. Therapists use specialised remedial techniques to locate and repair damage, as well as accelerate the body’s own repair mechanisms. The massage therapist uses a lubricating medium on the skin to ensure that the muscles associated with the disorder and mobilisation of the joint are deeply penetrated. Remedial Massage stimulates circulation, allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed, calms the peripheral nervous system, easing pain and discomfort, relaxes muscles and improves joint mobility.
Induced relaxation may increase immune response. Sessions are 90 minutes, including structural assessments. A supervisor will check the student practitioner’s treatment plan and may observe the student during the consultation. (When appropriate, ensuring clients are adequately covered).
