Studying Acupuncture you will learn how to restore the harmonious flow of energy by influencing the acupuncture points with needles, lasers, or finger pressure.

Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture)

The ancient practice of Acupuncture is integrated with Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been widely accepted into mainstream medicine. The basis of Chinese philosophy and acupuncture theory is holistic, acknowledging the existence of a primary motivating life-force and recognising our relationship with the environment.

The Acupuncture Practitioner restores the harmonious flow of energy by influencing the acupuncture points with needles, lasers, or finger pressure.

Traditional Chinese Medicine, practiced alongside Acupuncture, uses Chinese herbs and traditional medicines to stimulate and strengthen healing mechanisms and restore balance.

This four year full time (or equvialent part-time) course provides graduates with the knowledge and skills to become successful acupuncture practitioners. As well as foundation studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the course includes appropriate Western medical sciences, interpersonal skills, research methodology, in-depth studies of clinical acupuncture, and elective units on topics of special interest.

An Overseas Study Option is also available, allowing students to study in China at the Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University. Students attend the Nanning campus for six weeks of intensive clinic work in the University's teaching hospital. The Endeavour College of Natural Health Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) degree, as delivered at our Queensland and Victorian campuses, is approved by the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria (CMRB) for the purpose of practitioner registration in Victoria.

Graduates are eligible for membership with a range of professional associations including:
  • Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association LTD (AACMA)

  • Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA)

  • Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS)

  • Federation of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Societies of Australia Inc (FCMA)

Endeavour is now taking enrolments on our Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth campuses.
