Naturopathy uses the holistic principles of Hippocrates to treat the underlying cause and the whole patient, not just the symptoms, to educate the patient and develop preventative measures to reduce recurrence. The naturopathic clinician facilitates this process through teaching and providing a range of holistic medicines.

The study of Naturopathy includes herbal medicine, diet and nutrition, flower essence therapy, nutritional supplementation, naturopathic diagnostic techniques including iris analysis along with a general understanding of various forms of therapy.

This four year full time (or equivalent part-time) course provides graduates with specialist naturopathic clinical knowledge and skills to become future leaders within the naturopathic profession. It includes in-depth studies in medical science, research, herbal pharmacology and clinical herbal medicine, nutritional biochemistry and clinical nutrition/dietary medicine, clinical case taking, and communication and professional interaction.

Graduates are eligible for membership with a range of professional associations including:

• Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA)


• Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS)


• Australian Naturopathic Practitioners Association (ANPA)


• National Herbalists Association Australia (NHAA)
