WHAT IS AYURVEDA?
The original source of many of today’s natural therapies, Ayurveda is hailed as the ‘mother of all healing sciences’. Born from ancient Indian wisdom, Ayurveda focuses on inspiring individuals to heal rapidly and easily with the aid of herbs, diet, body therapies spiritual psychology and lifestyle adjustments.
Scientific research and development over thousands of years supports Ayurveda’s effectiveness and easy application to the modern Western world. Although a complete system in itself, Ayurveda is also a powerful adjunct to other modalities. It’s eternal principles and tools enhance one’s understanding of the patient and clarifies the most effective treatment approach.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
During an initial in-depth consultation Dr. Prasad determines your constitution and current imbalances through discussion, examination and tongue diagnosis. Drawing from a broad range of natural therapies including nutrition and herbs, an individualised regime and therapeutic program tailored to you will eliminate the root cause of ill health or unhappiness. This will bring you to a state of health and harmony.

Generally patients schedule a follow-up appointment after a fortnight to monitor changes and then monthly until steady progress is maintained.

Ayurvedic Massage - Abhyanga

A relaxing and therapeutic massage style. Using a herbal oil suited to your health the qualified masseuse employs a combination of long, deep strokes and specific pressure points (marmas) to relax, balance and revive neuro-musculature. Ayurvedic herbal oils are selected according to the individual’s need.

Serene Stream - Shirodhara

This ultimate stress buster involves pouring a continuous stream of warm herbal oil over the forehead, inducing a deep state of serenity. Particularly recommended for psychological and endocrine disorders. Herbal oils are selected according to the individual’s need.

These deep cleansing techniques purify the body of toxins, increasing mental clarity and physical vitality. Treatments prescribed by the Ayurvedic physician may include herbal enema, purgation, nasal cleansing or a GIT cleanse depending on individual requirements.
AYURVEDA CERTIFICATE COURSE
Ayurveda Elements Academy is committed to teaching the cream of Ayurvedic theory and practice in an interesting and fun format. The course is designed to equip students with a firm understanding of Ayurvedic principles and their practical application in curative and preventative health care. On successful course completion students will be adept at Ayurvedic diagnostic skills, Ayurvedic massage, lifestyle guidance, Ayurvedic nutrition and the use of potent herbs and oils.
