What to expect in an Ayurvedic Consultation
The first consultation takes about an hour where relevant information about the client's medical condition and life style will be obtained and a complete analysis of the client's body constitution will be made. The imbalances causing the medical condition are then diagnosed through pulse, tongue, and other visual examination.
Treatment for correcting the imbalance is given consisting of Ayurvedic medicine, advice of diet and life style suiting the individual's body constitution. Yoga therapy for therapeutic results and for stress relief are also offered.
In addition to treating people with medical conditions, consultations are also given for healthy individuals to maintain their general well being with preventative and rejuvenating measures.
The goal of an Ayurvedic practitioner is not to suppress the symptoms but to correct the imbalance, prevent reoccurrence, and to build the body's natural immunity with a view to enhancing health, life style and well being of the client - a holistic approach.
