COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY(CBT)
Cognitive behavioral Therapy is a way of talking about the connections between how we think, how we feel and how we behave. It particularly focuses on ideas that are unrealistic . These often undermine our self esteem, our confidence and makes us feel anxious or sad and sometimes depressed.When we are distressed or anxious our perceptions and interpretations of events can become distorted (cognitive-distortions) and we tend to lean towards Labeling - Attaching negative labels to a action i.e. “I’m a Failure” instead of “I made a mistake”.
Personalization - Holding oneself responsible for an event outside ones control.Fortune telling - Predicting the future in a negative way, with out any supporting evidence. Etc.CBT is not just talking; it’s a practical goal orientated therapy that uses emotional and behavioral techniques designed to promote cognitive emotional and behavioral changes.
HYPNO—PSYCHOTHERAPY
There are two entirely different treatments using hypnosis therapeutically. Both treatments can be and are utilized jointly .Suggestion Therapy - is used for the simpler problems such as nail biting, exam nerves, relaxation, performance enhancement, confidence boosting etc. Beneficial suggestions are given while you are in hypnosis so they can take hold in your subconscious mind. (3 - 6 sessions) Hypno - Analysis / Analytical Psychotherapy - This Therapy is used in aid in overcoming problems such as Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, Blushing, Phobias, Skin Disorders, Migraine, OCD, IBS, Addictions etc. This type of therapy is based on every symptom having a cause due to some inner conflict The aim of this therapy is to recreate and resolve the conflict which comes from your emotional past.
The conflict is usually outside of conscious awareness and by bringing it into conscious awareness and resolving it, not only do the symptoms subside but also the need for the symptom is removed permanently. You will gain self insight and identify maladaptive behavior patterns. You will learn effective tools of positive change and feel a sense of self-empowerment. Emotional problems respond very well to Hypno– Analysis these sometimes present themselves as physical symptoms these symptoms can be alleviated if the root cause is an emotional or psychological conflict.
Hypno-Analysis involves dedication and commitment from the client and therapist (10 - 12 Sessions)In brief Hypno - Analysis deals with the root cause of the symptom, where as suggestion therapy merely deals with the symptom.
