At Be Good 2 Urself Chinese Medicine our aim is to get you re-connected

Be Good 2 Urself Chinese Medicine

Quantum physics tells us that all matter, including the human body, consists of a collection of tiny particles that are in a constant state of energetic vibration. Our momentary state of health and well-being relies on the high frequency of this energetic vibration.

Stagnation and blockages in the human Qi(energy) field disrupt physiological processes, that if not corrected, can lead to physical symptoms and dis-ease. At Be Good 2 Urself Chinese Medicine our goal is to re-establish the Qi(energy) flow to correct energetic imbalances and restore peak states of health and vitality.

Acupuncture is well known for its ability to open up energy flow in the human body through its effect in stimulating the meridian and chakra systems.

Chinese herbal medicine provides a rich source of phytochemicals used commonly to reduce inflammation and fight disease processes in the human body.

Services

In Chinese medicine philosophy our health and vitality depends on:

The smooth flow of energy or 'Qi'(pronounced 'chi'): Qi is the energy force of life which governs our circulation and organ function. When our Qi is moving well we feel relaxed, happy and mentally clear with confidence, flexibility and creativity. When the Qi in our bodies is obstructed it causes discomfort, pain, poor circulation and sluggishness. When this happens we tend to get 'stuck' in ourselves and our life at a certain point. We feel helpless and unable to make the necessary changes to move forward. Qi stagnation is commonly caused by stress and emotional issues.

The balance between Yin & Yang: Yin & Yang are the two opposing forces in nature that govern all processes in life. Yin is the feminine energy representing the darkness and night-time, water & fluids, coldness & stillness, to retreat, rest and preserve. Just 'being' is a yin aspect. Yang is the male energy that represents the light and day-time, heat & fire, action & movement. 'Doing' is a yang aspect. The balance between Yin & Yang in oursleves and in nature is in a constant state of fluctuation, however when one becomes too dominant causing the other to become very weak we begin to suffer as the natural system becomes unbalanced. Long term imbalance of Yin & Yang creates dysfunction and disease if not corrected.

How do we help you reconnect and re-balance?

Acupuncture involves the use of fine, stainless steel needles to stimulate specific energetic points on the body to regulate the flow of energy(Qi).

In western medicine acupuncture appears to have the following effects:
  • Stimulatory effect on the central nervous system, resulting in the regulation of the brain and vital organs.
  • Promotes the release of endorphins(morphine like substances) that are the bodies natural pain-killing system, reducing pain and stress and promoting a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.
  • Invigorates local blood flow to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
  • Triggers the release of muscle spasm.

At BeGood 2 Urself Chinese medicine we use sterile disposable Seirin needles for maximum effect with minimal discomfort.

Cupping: A heat suction technique that is used to warm the muscles and relieve pain as well as gently stimulate specific energetic points on the body to enhance optimal function and well-being. The purplish bruises resulting from cupping generally fade within a few days.

Moxibustion: involves the use of a burning stick or cone over specific acupuncture points to enhance the therapeutic effect.

Chinese herbal medicine: Next to food, herbs provide a highly effective, safe and natural medicinal system to optimise health and treat disease. Customised herbal formulas are made up to suit individual needs. High quality herbal extracts in the form of granules provide concentrated and effective administration, without the need for boiling or cooking. All herbal extracts are quality regulated within Australia and are GMP certified.
