Linda has been teaching relaxation for 15 years.
This has included individual, group and more recently, corporate sessions.
She is also a Level 2 Reiki practitioner and a Level 2 Radiant Child Yoga Teacher.

Beresfield Health and Relaxation
At Beresfield Health and Relaxation the main focus is on providing people with strategies to help cope with a busy and sometimes chaotic world. We often have a sense of being overwhelmed by the stresses of everyday life and as one day quickly follows another, we are often left feeling fatigued and unwell. Our emotions are on edge and it can often be hard to get a good night's sleep or feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
Linda's aim is to help people relax. Through gentle encouragement and the learning of relaxation techiques, you will soon start to feel a change in how you cope with everyday stresses. You will easily identify your body's responses to stressors and know what you need to do to return to a level of calmness.
To achieve this, there are a number of techniques taught.
Breath
One of the most overlooked ways to relax is to learn to focus on your breath. The movement of your body when you breathe is with you always and is one of the easiest techniques to learn.
Progressive Muscle Relaxation
Through this technique you learn to relax individual parts of your body working from your toes to the top of your head. This is a great way to get to sleep at night when you have all of those busy thoughts running through your mind.
Visualisation
Linda is a gifted story teller. Through the combination of various techniques, she is able to relax your mind and body and take you to an imagined place of beauty, tranquility and rejuvenation. To beautiful waterfalls, rivers, forests and mountain tops where your mind is able to let go of everyday concerns and just be.
Meditation
Learn how to still your mind through quiet meditation practise. Learn the ways of using the light of a candle or the gentle repetition of a mantra to relax your mind.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient healing technique that involves using the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. It addresses several imbalances - Physical

Emotional
Spiritual Reiki's ki-energies flow through the practitioner's hands while they are touching or hovering above the recipient's body. In essence, the Reiki practitioner serves as a vehicle that supplies healing energies where they are most needed by the recipient.
Times
Beginners Relaxation Class is commencing Monday 13 February 2012 and running for 6 weeks
Small group relaxation sessions (all levels) are held at Beresfield on Tuesday evenings from 7pm.
Individual relaxation or Reiki sessions are by appointment only.
Costs
Beginners Class $70 for six weeks
Group relaxation sessions $10 per session or $50 for six weeks
Individual relaxation sessions $40per hour ($30 concession)
Reiki sessions $50per hour ($40 concession)
