Naturopathy
Whatever your health status, naturopathy can be used to provide supportive treatment for almost ANY condition. You probably have a health issue that you would like addressed. Perhaps you just want to check that you are on the right track, eating properly and taking the necessary preventative measures. Or maybe you want our opinion on whichever medications or supplements you are already taking.
Some examples of conditions successfully treated include dermatitis and eczema, stress and anxiety, hayfever and sinus pain, insomnia, tinnitus, headaches, indigestion, weight management, asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cystitis, poor immune function, early onset of menopause, pcos and under active thyroid.
We are also able to address any mental and emotional issues you may be experiencing, such as grief, anger, depression, worry, apathy and fear, to name but a few. All this using natural means, free from synthetic drugs.
We work with herbal medicines and nutritional supplements, as well as dietary and lifestyle modification. We believe it is important not to place unreasonable demands on you, so we do not usually advise strict dietary regimes, but work to whatever level you are comfortable with.

Lymphatic drainage
Michiko has trained with some of the best people in Australia in the field of lymphatic drainage. It is a relaxing treatment that anyone can benefit from. It works particularly well as part of a detox program, for poor immunity, allergies and for complications of breast cancer surgery.

Rates are as follows:
First consult (naturopathy): $110
Subsequent consultations: $70
Follow-ups of a short duration (under 30 minutes) are billed at $50.
Lymphatic drainage: $80 for 1 hour
$105 for 1.5 hours
This does not include the cost of any medicines prescribed. We accept EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard, as well as cash and cheque.
Health fund rebates are available.

Our home clinic is located at 21 Canonbury Grove, Dulwich Hill. Finding us is easy. You can drive, catch a train, or a bus. We are a five minute walk from Dulwich Hill station and bus routes 426 and 428. Parking is easy (and free).
Michiko Stone
Although Michiko developed a loyal clientele as a massage therapist, she has moved away from this area and now pursues interests in energy work. She combines her new skills with naturopathy and lymphatic drainage to provide a more holistic and effective treatment.
Martin Stone
Martin graduated as a massage therapist in 1998, and then a naturopath in 2001. Having already helped hundreds of people improve their health, he now works for one of Australia's leading natural therapies colleges. His time for practice is therefore very limited, but he hopes to heal the world through education, bringing more skilled practitioners into society.
Qualifications:
Both therapists are fully qualified in their fields and are members of ATMS. Martin is also a member of NHAA. They are therefore bound by a strict code of ethics which is is on display in the consultation room. They both demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional education, and often attend seminars and training courses in order to provide you with the most advanced treatment.
Both Martin and Michiko hold an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy, Diploma of Nutrition, Diploma of Reflexology, and a Diploma of Remedial Massage.
Martin also holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy).
Michiko also holds a Diploma of Lymphatic Drainage and a Diploma of Aromatherapy.

We want to see complementary medicine on Medicare. How different would our society be if we could all get a massage every week, or even once a month? It has been estimated that every dollar spent on preventative medicine saves you, the tax-payer, four dollars in disease-oriented orthodox medicine. While this may seem far from our current reality, health funds are now recognising the benefits of preventative treatments, doctors know the limitations of a six-minute consultation, and more and more people every day turn to complementary practitioners as they want to take control of their own health. We trust that you will be a part of this change. We hope that soon, very soon, politicians will realise what a vote-winner making complementary medicine publicly available will be.
