Also, Bindu has 17 years of experience in meditation. As a meditation teacher, she draws upon her own positive meditation experiences to support clients, especially for those who live with chronic pain such as fibromyalgia. Bindu also runs workshops for women where she uses her counselling, meditation and dance movement skills to support women to re-connect to their inner divinity,their inner goddess.

WHAT IS REIKI? - Reiki means “universal life force energy".
- Reiki is a form of spiritual healing.
- A Reiki session is safe and painless because it is a form of hands on healing which allows you to lie comfortably on a massage table with no manipulation.
HOW CAN REIKI SUPPORT YOU?
- Reiki is a system of healing that treats you as a whole person and supports your body, emotions, mind and spirit all at the same time.

Bindu began to meditate on a regular basis 17 years ago. She first learned meditation techniques that gave her significant relief from chronic pain. Over the years, Bindu has learned several meditation techniques, including those which have supported her on her spiritual journey. Bindu therefore draws on the diverse number of meditation techniques she has used in her life to support clients achieve their goals towards wellness.- In a private meditation session, Bindu can support you by teaching a meditation technique that is tailor –made for you, so that it suits your life-style, spiritual, emotional and physical needs.
- At workshops, Bindu incorporates meditation techniques that blend with the group’s needs or focus of the workshop. For example a Meditation class with the aim of relieving chronic pain will draw upon techniques like progressive muscle relaxation and visualisation as Bindu has found significant benefit from such techniques in her own life.

GROUP COUNSELLING
FOR WOMEN AND STUDENTS
WHAT HAPPENS AT THESE GROUP SESSIONS?
Group counselling sessions are where Bindu facilitates groups to achieve common health and wellbeing objectives or outcomes. As a counsellor, Bindu has the qualifications to run such workshops.
In the last 2 years Bindu has conducted group workshops for students embarking on their HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate). These inter active group sessions are entitled, “Taking care of me”. The students meet for 6 sessions over a period of 2 months. Aside from learning stress relief techniques such as breath work, simple Yoga postures and Meditation, the students get a chance to talk in confidence to their peers about their journey through the last 2 years of school.
THE BENEFITS OF GROUP COUNSELLING
The most profound benefit of coming together at these group workshops is that it allows the participants to BE in community. By sharing and hearing others share, it gives participants the chance to feel a sense of belonging, and this always has a healing effect on health and wellbeing.
DANCE & MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DANCE AND MOVE?
At the Dance & Movement workshops, Bindu draws upon her experience as a trained INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCER, and uses the essence of dance ( in all its forms) as a therapeutic means to support participants to connect with their body and spirit.
In a world that is so filled with busyness, dance and movement provides a fun –filled way (and a healthy way!) of connecting to the Centre of our Being.
When we dance, it allows us to transcend the incessant chatter of our mind. Somehow as we dance together, all our worries seem to melt away.
Dance allows us to expand energetically. Dance unshackles us from our perceived limitations. As we re-connect with our freedom, a heightened level of creativity courses through our body, mind and spirit.
All these are the joyous experiences of what happens when we DANCE & MOVE!!
In the last two years, Bindu has entered into a collaborative venture with the internationally acclaimed Indian classical dancer and choreographer, Madhu Nataraj to conduct unique dance and movement workshops. The first of these workshops is called “The Goddess dances”. These workshops incorporate meditation, yoga and self healing techniques into dance and movement, so that participants are able to connect with the divine feminine qualities of the inner Goddess. The inaugural workshop was held in Sydney in 2007, and since then has been presented in India as well.
