CANBERRA DOULA, BIRTH PREPARATION AND BABY MASSAGE

Throughout the ages, women have relied upon the wisdom, experience and care of other women to guide them in childbirth and mothering. In modern times, the doula fulfils this vital role. The doula recognises the power and significance of the birth journey: her role is to help a woman achieve the birth experience she desires, and provide a much-needed continuous supportive presence to the woman and family throughout the childbearing year.
Rachel Ford, creator of Birth in Harmony, is a mother, Certified Doula, Childbirth Educator, Breastfeeding Counsellor (ABA), Certified Infant Massage Instructor (IAIM) and trained photographer. Rachel provides a range of services to support parents holistically to nurture a strong bond with their child and with each other throughout this amazing time.

BABY MASSAGE CLASSES:
International Association of Infant Massage program. Over a series of five weekly classes, parents are taught how to perform a fun and simple full-body massage on their baby. Program also includes:

- Parent Network - opportunity to share the parenting journey with other like-minded parents
Classes are held in a selected venue or your home, in small groups of 6-8 babies to ensure personalised attention. Birth in Harmony Baby Massage is $185 (second parent attends for free).
