PRE NATAL YOGA
“Gentle yoga classes designed to accommodate all stages of Pregnancy and all levels of previous yoga experience; including beginners.”

You will find the classes beneficial to you and the baby during pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period.

POST NATAL YOGA GROUP (yoga plus mother group)
“Our Post Natal Yoga Group includes 1 hour postnatal yoga followed by mother's gorup, morning tea for an enjoyable yet relaxing mums and bubs class”

As a mother, we cannot look after our family if we do not look after ourselves.

The Post Natal Yoga class focuses on improving core strength, pelvic floor exercises, toning and stretching.

Morning Tea is an opportunity to openly discuss alternatives for dealing with tiredness, settling, weaning, breastfeeding, and many other health and emotional issues for baby and mother and to connect to like-minded women in the Baulkham Hills area.

WOMEN'S HEALTH & WELLBEING YOGA
“Ready to get back into some exercise and yoga - to re-energise and focus just on you?”

This class is for you to give yourself some dedicated time to focus on your personal health and needs. Some personal time to reflect, re-focus and re-energise!

Class Times: Thursday evenings 8.10 - 9.10pm

AFFORDABLE ANTENATAL COURSES
Everything you need to know to prepare for the arrival of your new baby.

Affordable Classes broken into 5 workshops so that you can attend the classes that suit you, your needs and your budget. Only $40 per couple. Workshops run fortnightly Saturdays, 2.00 - 4.00pm.

1.YOGA FOR ACTIVE BIRTH
Available Dates: Saturday December 10th, January 21st, MArch 31st, June 16th, August 25th, November 3rd

Learn and practice positions and breathing for an Active birth. Get more out of your Prenatal Yoga practice and exercise classes. This is an in-depth look at the skills you are learning in yoga and how they can help you during your labour.

Learn which yoga positions you can use in active labour to help bring the baby into the right position, open the pelvis and reduce the risk of tearing - as well ideal positions for resting between contractions.

Learn how yogic breathing can be used during labour and how this breathing calms the body and mind to help your body release maximum labour hormones - for a more efficient, less painful and even safer birth for you and your baby.

2. NATURAL BIRTH INTENSIVE
Available Dates: Saturday October 29th, February 4th, April 14th, June 30th, September 8th, November 17th

Learn the true nature of natural birth, how the media creates unnecessary fear and what the women who have ecstatic births do (and don’t do!)

Discover physiological benefits for mum, baby and family.

Understand the importance of protecting the women’s emotional state and how best to support her.

Learn best positions to reduce tearing and help the baby to be born easily.

Discover how yoga breathing techniques reduce pain of labour. Many, many women report ‘the deeper they breathed, the more pain relief they experienced. Close family members and family welcome to this workshop.

3.CREATING YOUR BIRTH PLAN & VISION
Available Dates: Saturday November 5th, February 18th, April 28th, July 14th, September 22nd, December 1st

Workshop practical ways for you and your partner to support the natural physiological processes of labour and birth.

Going to the hospital too early is a problem for many women’s labours. When you disturb your rythym in the earlier part of labour, your labour is likely to slow down or even stop. Learn how to tell when it’s time to go to the hospital.

Create a vision for your birth and your Birth Plan. This is a birth plan that focuses on how to achieve a positive physical and emotional outcome for mother, baby and father, rather than a list of ‘do wants and don’t wants’ (which you’ll find in some parenting magazines, which is not very useful as a stand alone tool)

Workshop your personal situation: When to call or wake up your husband, how to manage mother’s & mother-in-laws. What helps you to feel calm, relaxed and safe, how to manage each stage of labour and more...

4. AVOIDING UNNECESSARY INTERVENTION
Available Dates: Saturday November 22nd, March 3rd, May 12th, July 28th, October 6th, December 15th

Learn about the Cascade of Intervention and how to avoid the unnecessary. Why do so many women experience a lot of medical interventions?

Women are made to give birth naturally, but the normal physiological process is often interrupted unnecessarily. Women are not explained properly the risks of being induced nor of having a caesarean - for the mother and the baby - when making decisions. Find out how one leads to the other and practical things you can do to avoid unnecessary intervention. Ask questions and discuss how and when medical interventions are used, how they effect you and the baby and possible gentle alternatives.

5. YOUR BABY IN FIRST 6 WEEKS
Available Dates: Saturday December 3rd, March 17th, May 26th, August 11th, October 20th, December 22

Understand what happens immediately after birth.

Discover the secrets to easier breastfeeding and a calm and settled baby - and the baby crawl.

Baby’s are often over stimulated during and after their birth causing feeding and settling problems. Learn about why many cultures practice a 'confinement period' and how to look after, protect and understand your baby’s needs, as well as your own.

Receive resources of when and where to get help with baby and breastfeeding. The sooner you get help or advice, the easier the problem is to solve.

Each workshop is $40 per couple. Prebook all 5 workshops and receive free Prenatal Yoga at Home DVD

All workshops run Saturday 2.00-4.00pm at the Pregnancy & Parenting Wellbeing Centre, Baulkham Hills

Can't attend on these dates? Each workshop is offered in a private 1 hour session for $95 at a time that suits you.
