Reflexology

Reflexology combines well with other complementary therapies including the Emotional Freedom Technique (E.F.T.), Reiki, Auriculotherapy and Pranic Healing. I also include other energy work as required, using meridians, chakras and acupressure points.

I am passionate about my healing activities and I treat each client according to their specific needs and ages. I also encourage my clients to understand, and to be active in the healing work that I do with them. Where appropriate, I teach them techniques to use by themselves.


Reflexology Conventional and Vertical Reflexology

Reflexology Conventional (sitting) and Vertical Reflexology (standing/weight bearing) involve correctly stimulating or sedating reflex areas in the hands and feet which correspond to all the glands, organs and parts of the body. I also use Chi Balancing, Ayurvedic and Precision Reflexology techniques. Reflexology relaxes tension and therefore helps to reduce stress. It also contributes towards improved nerve and blood supply which improves circulation; energy levels can increase and pain can decrease as the body finds balance.

Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology is relatively new to Australia. I am among the first graduates through the Australian School of Reflexology. It was developed by the internationally renowned reflexologist Lone Sorensen over 30 years from her work as a complementary health therapist. Lone has combined several healing systems: the oriental meridians, acupuncture points, South American Indian facial maps and clinical neurology from Chinese medicine, Vietnamese medicine as well as from South American Indian facial zone therapy.

It is a powerful form of reflexology, as four of our five senses ie smell, hearing, sight and touch are adressed by utilising these systems on the face.

Natural Face Lift
In addition to the Facial Reflexology I now offer the Sorensensistem™ Japanese Cosmo Lifting. This was also developed by Lone Sorenson. It is a natural, non-surgical, face-lifting beauty treatment . The treatments are very relaxing and cheaper than many other options. The muscles of the face are like any other muscles in the body and they need to be exercised sufficiently to maintain the changes resulting from the treatments. A course of 12 sessions, 2 - 3 per week is recommended for optimum results.

Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an emotional healing technique and meridian energy therapy. It is highly effective for resolving negative emotions eg anger, guilt, fears, phobias, stress, jealousy and depression as well as pain which arise from disruptions in the body’s energy system. The technique provides a rapid means to liberate people from debilitating and inhibiting emotions. I have conducted several workshops based on the manual that I wrote specifically for this purpose. I have also developed a chart relating EFT points to specific negative emotions and Chinese meridian points, and noting the possible significance of these points when tapped. Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word for universal life force the energy which is all around us. It is derived from “rei”, meaning "free passage" or "transcendental spirit" and “ki”, meaning "vital life force energy" or " universal life energy". Reiki energy, which is transferred through the hands, can help to remove energy blockages, detoxify the system and provide new vitality.


Auriculotherapy

Auriculotherapy involves stimulation of acupressure points in the ears to alleviate health conditions in other parts of the body. It can be particularly effective for pain management.


Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing removes diseased energy from the aura (the body’s energy system) and energises it with fresh energy called “prana” which keeps the body alive and healthy.


Theta Healing

Theta Healing is a spiritual healing technique which enables us to transform limiting beliefs that may be holding us back from living the life we desire. This applies to all aspects of our life including our appearance, health, happiness, spiritual development, creative abilities and relationships. Theta healing gives us the choice, and the power, to change these beliefs and as a result, to re-create every aspect of our life

Bush Flower Essences

Bush Flower Essences act as catalysts to help unlock our full potential and to resove negative beliefs to bring about harmony. I prepare mixtures of essences specific to each client's needs.

I work from a home-based clinic in a comfortable, personal environment with wheelchair access. This location enables me to work flexible hours.

The number of sessions required depends on the state of health of the individual. An immediate improvement may be noticed after one session, or it may take a number of sessions. A session generally lasts 60 minutes but may be shorter, for example for the elderly and children or longer if EFTand Theta healing is included with Reflexology.

My clients have responded well for a large range of conditions including inability to conceive, depression, anxiety, stress, sleeplessness, neck/back/shoulder problems, tennis elbow and repetitive strain injury.
