What is Body Counselling?
It's a traditional Massage with hand and oil contact, as well as a Counselling Session for the whole being.
It's a release of past conditioning being held in the tissue that causes a limited range of movement and pain and zaps you of your life force energy.
* Ever had one of those massages where you know the therapist has just done the exact same strokes on the previous body laying on this table?

Well that's the beauty of having a Massage with a Counsellor trained in Client Centred Focus who is really intuitive as well, and just “seems to be able to reach right into your very 'Being' and 'Knows' exactly where it needs to be connected with to release that knot.
The main focus is on both the Client and the Therapist being 'present' in the body and using the breath and awareness to really connect with the feelings present in the knots, illuminating just how and where we hold our stresses in the soft tissue.

Past unwanted feelings don’t go away by ignoring and not feeling them, that actually depletes us of a lot of subconscious energy. In fact it invites a plethora of psychosomatic symtoms to 'eat away at us' and the cells emulate this and physically manifest, for example, as cancer cells. Hips are often about moving forward, as well as knees. Feet symptoms bring attention to how well grounded to the earth we are. Unprocessed grief can hold deep into the ribs limiting our breathing capacity and joy for life force. The throat can be about creativity and communicating, or not, our true feelings.
By reversing the old pattern of dissociating from pain and contraction, as we all compulsively do, Robyn guides the client, through focused and connected breath, back into the body to acquaint and familiarise with the contraction. By bringing awareness and such presence into the tissue, it changes. Your conscious awareness is the electro magnetics that has the power to change the physical holding at a subconscious cellular level. As the 'holding' releases and cells that have been emaciated by restricted energy flow start to re-hydrate and take on new life force energy, recovery of a broader and freer enhanced range of physical movement can now be possible.
