ABOUT US The owner and Remedial Massage Therapist - Fran Nicholson - has a Diploma in Remedial & Sports massage, Physiology & Anatomy. Certified to practice oncology massage since completing the Petrea King oncology course which is approved by The Cancer Council of NSW. I am proud to say that Bonny Scents Massage Therapy is a service provider for the Blue Mountains Cancer Help, the Penrith Cancer Council and the Nepean Hospital Cancer Care. Fully qualified with the ATMS (The Australian Traditional Medicine Ltd.) since 2000. Therapies provided are Remedial, Sports, Oncology, Lymphatic, Pregnancy, & Swedish Massage. Hi I'm Fran. At my practice my number one priority is for you to feel relaxed and confident as we work together with your injury, muscular aches, headache, illness or emotional stress from everyday events be it family, work, sports or friends. I have been privileged to love what I do, but the biggest privilege is to be chosen by my clients to be their therapist. I meet people from all walks of life in different stages of health and every client is special and have their own set of needs. We all want to get back to doing things we take for granted, and when the activities you are used to doing can't be done it can be very frustrating. This is where massaging can help whether it be for pain relief, illness, muscular tension, neck pain, headaches or relaxation. Massage will help to decrease pain, stress, scar tissue and adhesion's, help with eliminating waste from your body, stimulate blood flow and, greatly assist with flexibility. This will maintain your emotional well being, and help you feel great and better able to take control of your life again. They say every one has a defining moment, for me it was while attending a seminar run by the Cancer Council of NSW. At this seminar I learned a seal of approval for qualified oncology massage therapist was being put in place to treat clients in all stages of cancer or other life threatening illnesses. I could hardly wait to do the recognized Petrea King Quest for Life Oncology courses, this would enable me to help a section of people in the community who had been told that the comfort of a massage was not an option for them. I also felt that the benefit's an hour massage or scar tissue work my clients in this situation would receive, to get away from medical treatments associated with cancer in a peaceful setting would help immensely with relaxation, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and lymphatic flow. I would like my clients to feel comfortable and safe when they come and see me as their therapist for ongoing care and support. I have a varied workday from treating pregnant women, builders, teachers or people with an illness and I would not have it any other way. There is a downside though and that is, it would be impossible for me to fill the needs of every client 5 days a week. I am very lucky to be surrounded by other fully qualified therapist to help me out for 2 of these days, this enables us to keep the quality of service at the highest level enabling one on one time together for comfort, security and privacy. I am very proud to be chosen as a therapist for community groups in the Penrith and Mountains area. To see the change in clients during and after their treatment certainly justifies the extra time and effort taken in obtaining the credentials necessary to provide this extra service. The trust put into me by these organizations and the general public certainly is very satisfying.
Using correct massage techniques combined with a blend of pure essential oils that are suitable for your particular needs, I will do everything possible to help you on your road to recovery. Leaving you feeling stronger and better able to minimize future problems.

THERAPEUTIC WHEAT HEAT/COLD PACKS:
Supplied to physiotherapist, chiropractors, podiatrist and the general public. These packs are made in Penrith Australia by myself, a disability work center and my daughter. They are registered with the Therapeutic Goods Administration and comply with the standards set by them.
The heat packs are specially designed to give an even distribution of relaxing therapeutic heat or deep penetrating cold to desired areas. Equally segregated sections allows the packs to retain their shape throughout its life and stops contents from going to the bottom of the pack.
BENEFIT'S OF HEAT/COLD PACKS:
Helps relieve pain caused by sporting injuries, arthritis, rheumatism, post operative pain, headaches, menstrual pain, muscular spasms or to help with relaxing. Pure lavender oil can be added at no extra cost and there are 3 shapes available. Lumbar & Neck (sectioned) and small square shape (no sections)
