Aches and Pains? We devote our time to investigating you, your body and how it works, optimising function so that you can get the most out of life. Safe, gentle and effective health care.
SERVICES Don't put up with a body that can't keep up with you!
Osteopathy is a recognised treatment for many conditions. As well as providing relief from joint or muscle aches and pains, Osteopathy may be used to treat conditions such as headaches, pregnancy-related pains, unsettled infants, and also for preventative health care.
Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine - this means 'hands on'. Our hands are finely tuned to help us find areas of your body that are in need of treatment - You will receive a whole-body assessment and treatment of up to 45 minutes for your first consultation. Subsequent consultations are 30 minutes. Our personal treatment style is very gentle, making it suitable for children and those who prefer a pain-free treatment. We use a range of techniques including massage, stretching, mobilisation, muscle energy techniques, myofascial releases and cranial osteopathy. We will also discuss your lifestyle and may recommend changes such as diet or exercise, or refer you to other healthcare providers to help you achieve optimum results. Ask us lots of questions - we want you to understand your body and to help you keep it in top condition.
Osteopaths are government registered primary healthcare practitioners. We have 5 years of university training and liaise with both medical and complementary health practitioners to provide you with the best of care. Osteopaths are recognised by all private health insurers under their 'extras' schedule, and also by Workcover, Veterans Affairs, TAC and MAA. If you are a member of a participating health fund, you may be able to claim your rebate using our HICAPS terminal, meaning that you only pay the ‘gap’ as we process your claim on your behalf. Some patients with chronic conditions and complex care needs may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for their treatment if under a chronic disease management plan from their GP.
For your convenience, the clinic is open 9-5.30 Monday to Friday and 9-1 Saturday with an emergency on-call service outside of these hours. We encourage patients to call us and discuss any concerns they may have about treatment and to find out how Osteopathy can help them. Our clinic also offers acupuncture and massage either in conjunction with Osteopathic treatments or on their own. If you are not sure which to have, call or email and we will help you to decide which treatment will suit you best.
