During a Remedial Massage I will find areas of tension, helping work out the cause of your pain, as well as releasing areas of tension. The treatment can be deep to free up adhesions but will also incorporate some more gentle, stretching moves to bring about a state of relaxation and lengthen contracted muscle fibres.
BOWEN THERAPY
Bowen Therapy has similar results to a massage, but works using a gentle rolling action rather than massage strokes, over pre-determined specific points on connective tissue. The Bowen Technique movement creates a piezoelectric current, documented to have strong healing properties. The gentle passive stretches used during a treatment also rehydrate the fascia giving the patient a better range of motion and ease of movement. As well as easing muscular pain, it is wonderfully relaxing, with clients often amazed at how calm they feel following a session.
