What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathic treatment is a safe and effective form of manual medicine which primarily focuses on treating the musculoskeletal system to restore balance in the entire body. Osteopaths are unique in that we can help the body to return to optimal mobility and function by addressing the cause of the problem and not just the symptoms you are experiencing.
Osteopaths use gentle manipulation techniques such as joint mobilisation, massage, resistance stretching and craniosacral therapy to assist patients in achieving normal pain-free movement by correcting underlying dysfunction. Osteopaths practicing in Australia have completed a 5-year university degree, where they were taught current accepted models of neurologic and orthopedic diagnosis.
We are primary care practitioners you do not need a referral to see an osteopath.
