About Cactus Chiropractic in Daisy Hill

We offer Chiropractic and Massage within our Logan, Daisy Hill Clinic.
Back pain, neck pain, and headaches are just a few of the painful conditions that affect most of us at some time. Chiropractic and massage therapy, when used in combination, form a powerful healing approach that addresses your pain on many levels. Whether your pain is a result of injury, stress or overuse, chiropractic and massage can greatly speed your return to a pain-free life.

Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. And while we generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, our commitment is two-fold:

1. Relief Care for Daisy Hill
    Do you suffer from:
    • Headaches
    • Neck or Low Back Pain
    • Sciatica
    • Scoliosis

"Relief or wellness care... you're the boss," explains Dr. Brian Peterson. When many people seek care in our office they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:

  • Uncover the underlying cause of the problem
  • Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible
  • Offer ways clients can participate in their recovery
  • Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care

2. Wellness Care for Daisy Hill

We encourage our clients to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like our website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.

Massage Therapy

Relaxation massage is excellent for stress relief, to relax and unwind.

Remedial/Sports Massageis also excellent for stress relief by working on the muscles to release tension. This also helps with repetetive muscle strains associated with injuries from sports/workplace. The aim is to balance the muscles by helping realign & stretch into a more comfortable and relaxed position.

Deep Tissue Massage works on the deeper layers of muscles. This is a deep form of massage, the aim is to target individual muscle fibres. Massage increases the blood and lymph circulation and respiration; improving many conditions such as chronic pain, spasms/cramps, fibromyalgia, arthritis, Carpal tunnel syndrome, back pain, insomnia, Multiple sclerosis, neuralgia, thyroid conditions, headaches, sinusitis, asthma to name a few.

The Benefits of Massage
  • More oxygen to the muscles
  • Greater removal of waste products
  • Greater rate of healing
  • Increase circulation of blood and lymph
  • Reduces muscle tension: Increases rate of muscle recovery from injury and exercise
  • Promotes relaxation
  • Reduces cramping
  • Enhanced body awareness

Regularly applied massage will aid in preventing muscle and tendon injuries, help restore lost mobility, and relieve muscle spasm.

When a muscle is injured in a strain or pull, scar tissue will form to “heal” the site. Repeated deep tissue massage will align the scar tissue, leading to improved function.

Massage will break adhesions between scar tissue and other muscles which creates fluid circulations inside the scar tissue to keep it soft. This will improve muscle movement and decrease muscle tension.

The net result of regular remedial/sport massage will maintain your entire body in better physical condition, boost performance, endurance, and prevent injuries.

Hot Stone Massages also available. 1 1/2 hours of Pure Bliss. The sensation produced by gliding, heated stones over the body along with the occasional, mesmerising "click" of the stones touching each other, is something that can only be appreciated by experiencing it. The stone-distribution of heat, combined with the soothing gliding movement, warms and relaxes the muscles to a much greater extent than that achieved by simple massaging the body with the hands alone.
