Body Talk

BodyTalk is an astonishingly simple and effective holistic therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended.

Each system, cell, and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times.

Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, however, these lines of communication can become compromised or disconnected, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body's internal mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus repairing and preventing disease while rapidly accelerating the healing process. In this way, BodyTalk stimulates the body's innate ability to balance and heal itself on all levels.

Colour Therapy

Colour Therapy is a complementary therapy for which there is evidence dating back thousands of years to the ancient cultures of Atlanteans, Egypt, China and India. Colour is simply light of varying wavelengths, thus each colour has its own particular wavelength and energy.

Colour Therapy is a totally holistic and non-invasive therapy and colour should be a part of our everyday life, not just something we experience for an hour or two with a Therapist. Colour is all around us everywhere. This wonderful planet does not contain all the beautiful colours of the rainbow for no reason. Nothing on this earth is here just by chance; everything in nature is here for a purpose. Colour is no exception. All we need to do is to heighten our awareness of the energy of colour and how it can transform our lives. The capacity for health and wellbeing is within each of us and can be helped using a Colour Therapist to facilitate the client’s healing.

Crystal Therapy

Crystals acquire and retain information just like humans. Both the crystals and humans carry the blueprint of life – DNA. There is a symbiotic relationship between the two as both are uniquely evolving forms. We are made up of most of the minerals in the universe and humans have borrowed from the mineral kingdom which crystals are a part of, the blue print of healing patterns. Crystal therapy is the ability to vibrate with the energy of the crystal and that of the subtle bodies, giving back the remembrance of perfect health at a cellular level. Both humans and crystals have the ability to work together to heal and to cleanse spaces.

Essential Oils

Therapeutic treatment using essential oils follows three different models: French, German, and English.

The English model advocates diluting a small amount of essential oil in a vegetable oil and massaging the body for the purpose of relaxation and relieving stress.

The French model prescribes the ingestion and neat (undiluted) topical application of therapeutic-grade essential oils. A common form of internal use is to add a few drops of an essential oil to agave nectar or honey, a piece of bread, or a small amount of vegetable oil. Many French practitioners have found that taking the oils internally yields excellent benefits.

The German model focuses on inhalation of essential oils. Research has shown that the effect of fragrance and aromatic compounds on the sense of smell can exert strong effects on the brain—especially on the hypothalamus (the hormone command centre of the body) and limbic system (the seat of emotions). Some essential oils high in sesquiterpenes, such as myrrh, sandalwood, cedarwood, vetiver, melissa, and frankincense, can dramatically increase oxygenation and activity in the brain. This may directly improve the function of many systems of the body.

FAR Infrared Sauna

As FAR Infrared is natural and already a part of everyday life, this makes it very safe for use in saunas. The human body needs FAR Infrared energy to sustain life, and as such the FAR Infrared sauna experience means we are not exposing ourselves to unsafe or unnatural conditions like that of a traditional or steam sauna.

The steam & exceptionally hot air generated in traditional saunas contacts the body’s skin, quickly resulting in a sweat that starts at the top layers of skin. This engages the body’s natural cooling mechanism, sweat. The instant sweat generates in a traditional sauna, typically it is made up of 97% water and 3% toxins and fatty acids.

Hopi Ear Candling

Ear Candles have been used by many cultures since ancient times including the people from the Siberian prairies, Asia and native North and South American Indians in their myths, with ancient rock paintings showing Ear Candles being used at initiation rituals and medicinal ceremonies. The Hopi, the oldest Pueblo people, who possess great medicinal knowledge and spirituality, brought their knowledge to Europe.

BioSun Ear Candles (only brand used in this clinic) have 21 years of Ear Candling experience, with only high quality materials used and safety standards, which are regularly tested by independent institutes. They use only the finest premium quality ingredients, sourced from certified organic producers. They are still traditionally made using ancient Hopi Indian techniques and are using only the highest quality pesticide-free untreated cotton. They have been tested as free from all environmental toxins.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones, either as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body whilst they massage other parts of the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly.

Hot Stone Massage dates back to over 3000 years ago and was used in ancient India and China, and more recently to the North American Indians living in the southwest states. Hot Stone Massage combines the benefits of hydrotherapy and thermotherapy (the use of heat applications) with the strokes of massage using stones to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment.

Hydrotherapy Spa

The soothing warmth and buoyancy of water in the Elite Hydrotherapy Spa makes it a safe and ideal environment for relieving arthritis pain and other studies claim, that the muscle relaxing and joint loosening benefits help those with depression, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Tendonitis, Scoliosis and Bursitis. Overall, hydrotherapy studies have shown that the health benefits of immersion in warm water with massage jet action include the relaxation of muscles, lowering of blood pressure, loosening of arthritis joints, as well as help with the control of blood sugar and body weight.

Magnesium Swimming Pool

Two forms of Magnesium are found in the Magna Pool water: Magnesium Chloride found in this pool is derived from the ocean. This form of Magnesium is extremely beneficial in assisting your internal health, as well as balancing your mind and body. The Magna Pool generator produces Magnesium Hydroxide – this form of Magnesium is gentle on sensitive skin and other problem skin conditions. Magnesium works like a magnet on your skin, helping to detoxify impurities and toxins and to reduce pore size, ultimately leaving your skin feeling soft, radiant and smooth.

Numerology

Numerology is a metaphysical science similar to astrology however the main difference is that numerology deals with how numbers influence objects and people in the universe while astrology uses the planets, sun and moon.

The roots of numerology date back thousands of years and variations of it can be found in most cultures throughout history. While many people dismiss it as a pseudo-science, it has been taught and studied by some of the most respected mathematicians throughout history.

Numerology analyzes and uses the combination of the letters in your name and your birth date to give clues as to your character, strengths and weaknesses, natural talents, motivations and life purpose. You can take the information given to you by numerology and use it to help get back on track and move in the direction you were born to take.

Past Life / Regressive Therapy

A Past Life / Regression Therapy can help people interpret, understand and heal present life issues, and gain insight into their own personality, life purpose and direction. However, present life circumstances or current problems may not always be attributed to past life / other life experiences.

When a client is in a relaxed state of mind, they are able to regress into their past life and discover thoughts and memories which are locked deep within their subconscious. Once a person is in this state, they are then able to remember events which may have occurred in a past life and we are able to identify specific memories which have a deep affect on their inner self or spiritual being.

‘Reiki - Jin Kei Do’

Reiki is a Japanese word. The Kanji Rei means spirit, and Ki means energy or life force. Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle, yet powerful method of healing. Reiki energy, often described as `universal life energy' or `spiritual energy' is accessed by the practitioner during a treatment. It enhances the body’s natural healing ability and promotes wellbeing.

Reiki treatment stands on its own as a healing practice and is also safely used to support orthodox and complementary medicine. Reiki doesn’t interfere with or diminish the intended effects of other health or medical practices. It is increasingly accepted in health and community care facilities including hospitals, hospices and cancer support units.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage uses several specialised techniques to locate and repair damage to muscles, tendons and joints. Massage therapy supports and speeds up the body's own repair mechanisms. Massage oils are applied directly on the skin and this ensures that the muscles associated with the disorder are deeply penetrated. Passive joint stretching moves are also used.

Key benefits of Remedial Massage include the stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed; the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort; and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility. An improvement to the health of the cells, the repairing of tissues, and the easing of stiffness and tension can also be experienced through therapeutic relaxation.
