SERVICES
Welcome to
Central Physiotherapy Terrigal
Central Physiotherapy Terrigal (CPT) is a professional and comprehensive physiotherapy practice, specialising in ‘hands on’ manual and manipulative therapy.
Our treatment rooms provide a relaxing environment dedicated to physiotherapy solutions and offer patients an onsite gymnasium designed to meet the needs of exercise based post injury or post surgery rehabilitation programs.
We can help you achieve a pain free life.
On your first visit, we conduct a thorough investigation to locate the cause of your pain, rather than simply treating your symptoms. A biomechanical assessment will reveal any altered movement patterns that may be causing you pain and discomfort. As part of your treatment your physiotherapist will work with you to create an individual treatment plan, taking into account your lifestyle and routines, to help you towards pain free daily living.
Fundamental to our physiotherapists approach is an appreciation of your role in your own care.

What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession specialising in the rehabilitation of movement dysfunction.
Movement dysfunction is an alteration in normal body biomechanics that limits effective or efficient body performance. The movement dysfunction may be due to injury, disease, the aging process, enforced activity, bad postures, or psychological/social stress.
Physiotherapy can be useful in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of conditions, including:
- headaches and orofacial pain
- back, neck and shoulder-arm pain
- pelvic, hip, knee and foot pain
- arthritis
- post-operative rehabilition (e.g. knee or hip replacement)
- repetitive strain injuries (e.g. tennis elbow)
- sports and work related injuries
A physiotherapist works to establish a physical diagnosis and determines a patient’s movement potential, plans and implements physiotherapy programs, using specialised knowledge and skills for the prevention and treatment of movement dysfunction. QUALIFICATION DETAILS
