SERVICES

PUBLIC CLASSES & COURSES


All of our classes encompass building core strength and stability, increasing flexibility, developing concentration and heightened self-awareness and achieving physical and mental relaxation. There is always a focus on exploration of the breath as a vital link between the body and the mind - and the intention to have you leave the class feeling centred and peaceful.

We encourage people to work within their own capacity and develop at their own individual pace - and aim to accommodate this in general classes for people with varied ability.

The classes are relaxed and friendly within a supportive and non-competitive environment. All are welcome.



RANDWICK



YOGA for STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY

During this developmental course you will progressively learn and practice a combination of dynamic and static Yoga postures designed to improve your overall flexibility and strength, integrate mind/body/breath and induce a calm and centred state.

Classes will be taught with clear instruction, in a supportive and non-competitive environment and cater to suit all levels of experience, including beginners.

2 Courses offered for 2012 Tuesday evenings commencing 22 May, 2012 and Wednesday evenings from 13 June, 2012.

When: Tuesday or Wednesday Nights 6.30pm-7.45pm
Location: 193 Avoca Street, Randwick

MASCOT


GENERAL CLASSES
These well established (since 2004) and popular classes are held in Mascot Public School and are offered as 8 week courses as follows:

Classes are offered are as follows:
Monday Evenings 6.15pm-7.45pm General Level (requires at least 6 months prior experience).

NEW COURSE commencing 28 May, 2012. As numbers are limited, booking and payment in advance is required.

PRIVATE CLASSES
Private Yoga lessons are ideal if you wish to address specific health goals, are recovering from an injury or illness, would like a higher level of personal attention and tuition than received in group classes, or simply prefer the convenience of classes made by appointment.

After gaining a comprehensive understanding of your general health and what you hope to achieve from your Yoga practice, Sharon will then work with you in developing a personal program that meets your specific needs and desired outcomes.

You may choose to book private lessons on a regular, ongoing basis – or you may just wish to book a few sessions in order to develop a personal program for you to practice regularly at home.

ABOUT SHARON
Sharon’s experience with Yoga began in the late 90’s where she was fortunate enough to discover inspirational teachers whose authentic and heartfelt teachings encouraged her on a pathway of committed practice, and eventual study and teaching of this wonderful ancient science for living life well.

Sharon is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, Level 2 Member and NSW Representative of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia (YTAA), and a member of the International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA). She holds additional qualifications in Remedial Massage Therapy and a Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
She has also completed extensive additional studies with the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram based in Chennai, India - where world renowned teacher Sri TKV Desikachar, his family and senior teachers, advocate and teach the Viniyoga approach - in which each person is recognised as unique individual and the Yoga adapted to suit the individual's needs and abilities.

Sharon is committed to making the practice of Yoga available to all individuals - regardless of age, state of health, ability and special needs.

Prior to teaching Yoga, Sharon spent several years working in corporate Sydney/Melbourne so fully understands the nature and stressors of this environment. She has a special interest in teaching Yoga as a stress management tool, as Yoga has so much to offer in counteracting the effects of existing stress and building inner reserves to better manage any future stressful situations.

The following quote from TKV Desikachar is what inspires Sharon’s continued commitment to studies, personal practice and teaching of Yoga:
