Acupuncture & Moxibustion
Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles at specific points on the body’s channels to circulate chi (energy) flow. This in turn nourishes the body tissues and enhances organ function. ‘Needle-free’ laser is an alternative method of acupuncture.
Moxibustion therapy involves warming these points with a heated herbal preparation.
Acupuncture & Moxibustion are excellent for alleviation of Musculo-skeletal injuries and pain.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine includes the use of a variety of plant, mineral and sometimes animal by-products to alleviate illness. Traditionally the ‘herbs’ are boiled as a tea, today the formulas are available prepared as powders, pills, syrups and oils. All the products used at China Dragon Medical are prepared onsite.
Chinese Herbal Medicine is useful for treatment of Circulatory & Respiratory Diseases, Digestive Disorders, Women’s Health, Skin Conditions and Childhood Illnesses
Chinese Massage
Chinese Tuina massage, uses manual stimulation of surface areas associated with acupuncture points to relieve congestion and ease tight muscles. ‘Cupping’ involves creating a vacuum within a glass ‘cup’ over similar points to increase circulation. The techniques are performed without oil and are generally more dynamic than other styles of massage.
Chinese Massage is excellent for alleviation of Musculo-skeletal injuries and pain.
Chinese Dietary Therapy
Chinese Dietary Therapy works on the principle that all foods have medicinal qualities, just like herbs, but in weaker concentrations. Cooking methods, foods to avoid and foods best eaten can be determined for the prevention or alleviation of many forms of ill-health. A diet can be tailored to the individual by selecting foods on basis of their flavour, nature and relative temperature
Chinese Dietary Therapy is useful for maintenance of Circulatory & Respiratory Diseases, Digestive Disorders, Women’s Health, Skin Conditions and Childhood Illnesses.
