This is a fantastic journey for us to take together. I will target your concerns, look at diet, lifestyle, work, exercise and personal history to determine prevention and treatment programs. The treatment itself may require different natural therapies, such as herbs, nutrients, exercise, massage and dietary measures. These natural therapies aid the body¹s own healing processes. My talent is to clarify why you need to make some changes and hence motivate you to do so.

Naturopathic philosophy of health
Naturopaths believe that ultimately health is a vibrant state of wellness rather than just the absence of illness. Essential to their belief is that the body has a great power to maintain its own balance if given all the elements it needs. The body’s needs are greater than those physical requirements of food, air, and water. For true health to exist the philosophy maintains we must also meet mental, emotional and spiritual needs. It is only when the body, mind and soul are addressed that real health and happiness presides. Naturopaths, therefore draw from a wide range of modalities to teach you how to restore balance into your life on levels other than physical, as illness essentially arises from one or all of these needs not being met.
The eyes are the windows to the soul
IridologyIs based on the observation that the iris is an amazing reflection of your inner health. At our clinic, a photographically captured and enhanced iris image aids a trained professional to provide a thorough health analysis. Naturopathic or herbal medicine treatment is often provided as part of this service.
What is iridology? Many people today are talking about how we can see our level of health through looking at our eyes. This brief explanation will serve as an introduction to iridology. The science and practice of iridolgy is performed by analysing the iris (coloured section of the eye' along with the sclera (white of the eye) and the pupil. The iris is the most complex external structure of the human anatomy.
The iris is connected to every organ and tissue of the body by way of the nervous system. Through the optic nerves, which are attached to the eyes, visual information is sent to the brain. At the same time information is sent back to the eyes from the brain about your overall level of health. Iridology reveals the level of health and the presence of tissue inflammation in the body, where it is located and what stage it has reached acute, sub-acute, chronic or degenerative. The iris reveals the level of constitutional strength, inherent weaknesses and the transitions that take place in your organs and tissues according to the way you eat, drink, feel and live.
Remedial massageYou give so much, get tired, sore and cranky...
Massage is simple. Massage works because it's all about you. By applying physical strokes and pressure to the deep tissue layers and manipulating major joints massage brings relief and freshness to your body.
So take a break and we'll help restore you to the nth degree! We combine your pampering with professional therapy techniques using massage that works beyond the superficial muscles into the deeper layers including ligaments and tendons. We may use joint mobility techniques and some remedial exercises may be given for your body mind and soul…
Prenatal massagePregnant women need massage more than any other group of people!
Traditional choices for pain relief and relaxation are greatly reduced for expecting mothers, like certain exercise and most medication. At the same time, stress levels are high (even good changes can be stressful!) and joints and muscles are under daily pressure.
Many clients credit regular massage throughout pregnancy and postpartum with successfully reducing pain so they could really enjoy their pregnancy.
It's a great way to make some quality time for you and your unborn bubs!
Hydrotherapy massageUltrawave system massage whether for pure relaxation, prevention of health problems, therapeutic use or for anti-aging. Stretch out, close your eyes and enjoy. An island of relaxation, pulsating wave of well being. That is what the user thinks during his massage. A jet of underwater pressure that simply feels good and better, you will be full clothed at all time.
- reduce muscle tension
- improve circulation
- activate the lymphatic system
- mobilize the metabolism
- tighten the connective tissue
- increase the personal well being
Reflexology Also referred to as 'zone therapy', reflexology works on the premise that internal organs and glands are "reflexed" on the feet and that the special therapeutic techniques of reflexology work to bring the body back to homeostasis (balance).
By having the whole body represented in the feet, the method offers a means of treating the whole body and of treating the body as a whole. This latter point is an important factor of a natural therapy and allows not only symptoms to be treated but also the causes of the symptoms.
PilatesJoseph Pilates, the founder of pilates, called his method the 'art of controlology', which refers to the way the method encourages the use of the mind to control the muscles.
Pilates is an exercise program that focuses on the core postural muscles that help keep the body balanced and are essential to providing support for the spine.
In particular pilates exercises teach awareness of neutral alignment of the spine and strengthening the deep postural muscles that support this alignment, which are important to help alleviate and prevent back pain.
YogaMoving your body into poses and exercises is the most commonly known form of yoga. Through performing a set pattern of movements while placing your attention on your breathing creates a state which relaxes the mind, making you focused, stable and 'present'.
Being 'present' on what you are doing in any one moment relieves stress and helps you develop a sense of mind and body unity and wellness. Yoga not only brings us back to the 'here and now' – it also known to strengthen muscles, heighten mind and body awareness and 'cleanse' your internal organs.
Prenatal yogaPrenatal yoga has numerous benefits for you.
It prepares the pelvic muscles, hips & legs for childbirth, helps you process emotions from increased hormonal activity, brings a greater awareness of the breath, how to use it during labour & how to calm yourself, improves circulation, which improves the nutrition to your baby, keeps the body supple and aligned while it changes to accommodate the life within
and keeps you in contact with your unborn child.
Yoga asanas (asana literally means 'posture in which it is pleasurable to remain with attentiveness') have been developed by practitioners over literaly thousands of years as an aid to good physical and mental health, well-being and self realization.
Many of the yoga 'postures' are named after animals which the yogis imitated.
Yoga 'postures' have a number of unique features, which set them apart from other forms of exercise:
- they stretch and relax nerves, muscles and joints, creating a pleasant feeling of relaxation while increasing flexibility and promoting the free flow of energy through the body.
- they require a minimum expenditure of physical energy and at the same time contribute to mental attentiveness.
- they nourish and tone specific and often neglected organs and glands by directing the flow of blood, lymph and mental concentration to that area.
- The hormones secreted by endocrine glands control our physical mental and emotional states and are balanced by the practice of yoga. By balancing these hormonal secretions, yoga asanas promote optimal physical and emotional conditions.
- they enable the practitioner to divert the flow of energy to higher centres in the body, giving control over desires.
- through use of breath they purify the blood and promote calmness, concentration and depth of perception.
- through use of balance and motionlessness they promote mental steadiness and calm.
- through strengthening and 'cleansing' your organs of elimination they make the body free of toxins and the mind clear.
- through strengthening and cleaning the organs of elimination they make the body free of toxins and the mind clear.
