Our chiropractors Dr Richard Pilkington, Dr Kevin Harding and Dr Susanne Weisenberger work with a passionate team of health professionals who are committed to your health and wellbeing.

Profile
Dr Richard Pilkington, Chiropractor and Occupational Consultant
Dr Pilkington first attended the prestigious University of Waterloo in Canada graduating with a four year Honours Bachelor of Science Degree (with a focus on exercise physiology, biomechanics, ergonomics and nutrition) in 1985.
He then attended The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College obtaining a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree after completing the intensive four year program. A few years later he added a Certification in Occupational Health finishing in 1992. He is one of only 30 Chiropractors from Canada to hold this certification.
In addition to working in private practice and sports injury clinics Dr Pilkington has chaired the Occupational Health Committee for the Ontario Chiropractic Association and was one of the few Chiropractors to formally offer injury management strategies and ergonomics to the workplace.
Dr Pilkington relocated from Toronto, Canada to Melbourne in July 2001 and by October of the same year took over as director of CityHealth. CityHealth was founded by Chiropractor Dr Judy Courtin in 1992 and has been growing ever since.
Here in Melbourne Dr Pilkington also works as a Clinical Advisor for The Victorian WorkSafe Authority representing the only Chiropractor sitting on the Clinical Panel. He is a consultant to the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia on ergonomic issues and product endorsement and has had the privilege of serving the Wiggles and cast for the past eight years as “in house” Chiropractor when the Wiggles perform live in concert in Melbourne.
Other current projects include developing and distributing Cyclepods which are state of the art bicycle storage devices that are secure, sustainable and ergonomically efficient.
Dr Pilkington is a preferred provider with Bupa.
Dr Kevin Harding, Chiropractor
Dr Harding graduated from RMIT in 1998 with degrees in Chiropractic and Clinical Science. He also undertook studies in Mechanical Engineering and has over 20 years of professional and personal experience in the fitness industry.
A keen cyclist, Dr Harding not only has an interest in the biomechanics and sport specific injuries of cyclists, but also has the unique perspective of bicycle building and maintenance. His own personal battle with weight has seen him lose over 25kg, offering an understanding of the physical and mental demands required to succeed. Dr Harding is passionate about sharing his weight loss knowledge and success with his patients and can give advice with genuine sincerity.
Dr Harding is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays and treats patients with a variety of conditions from sports related injuries and common workplace over-use injuries to regular Chiropractic maintenance care.
Dr Harding is a preferred provider with Bupa and Medibank Private.
Dr Susanne Weisenberger, Chiropractor
Dr Susanne Weisenberger completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in the UK in 1986. She then returned to her native country of Finland, practicing there for a few years before moving to Australia in 1988. Dr Weisenberger started her own practice in Geelong in 1989, and now divides her time practicing in both Geelong and at CityHealth.
Dr Weisenberger is available at CityHealth on Tuesdays and Fridays, and uses a variety of Chiropractic techniques to provide quality care and individualised treatments.
Dr Weisenberger is a preferred provider with Bupa and Medibank Private, and is a member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia.
Nicola Guy, Remedial Massage Therapist
Nicola has been successfully providing Remedial Massage Therapy at CityHealth for the past ten years. She holds a Diploma of Health Science and is registered with all major private health funds. Nicola is a full member of The Australian Natural Therapy Association (ANTA) and an affiliate member of the Myotherapy Association (IRMA).
Nicola’s therapeutic style could be described as a dynamic combination of deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. She promotes stretching and exercise therapy and will often prescribe a customised home therapy routine to achieve the desired outcome. Nicola regularly attend seminars, workshops and presentations and thus is up to date with current treatment methods. Being passionate about health and vitality she looks forward to assisting you to achieve optimum muscle balance.
Natsuki Futamura, Remedial Massage Therapist
Natsuki Futamura is an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and provides Remedial Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Pregnancy Massage, and Aromatherapy treatments at CityHealth. Natsuki holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage and a Diploma of Aromatherapy, and is registered with all major private health funds.
With six years of clinical experience and a wide breadth of knowledge, we can assure you that you are in excellent hands with Natsuki.
Dr Christine Lee, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist
Christine’s knowledge and experience in Chinese Medicine began in childhood. Her lifelong interest and education has developed into a practice that makes traditional Chinese Medicine theory relevant to the health problems people are now faced with.
Christine’s education began with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Medical Anthropology at the University of Melbourne, where she developed an appreciation for the diversity of medicine and healthcare. Her education continued at RMIT, obtaining a double degree in Chinese Medicine and Human Biology. Christine also completed a half year, comprehensive Clinical Internship in the Jiangsu Provincial TCM Hospital in Nanjing, China. Here she had the opportunity to observe and practice the broad spectrum application of Chinese Medicine in a major Chinese hospital.
Though an experienced ‘general practitioner’ in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Christine is takes a special interest in complex, chronic health problems including autoimmunity, digestive issues and hormonal irregularities. She believes in treatment plans that cooperate with and complement medical recommendations.
