Our Services
Sporting Injuries & Lower Limb Biomechanics / Orthotics
Chiropractor Dr Mike Black also specializes in upper & lower limb biomechanics and associated Sporting Injuries. Some patients require addition of Orthotics fitted at this clinic to correct abnormal biomechanics of the foot/lower limb which may contribute to low back pain and associated conditions.
Children’s Health Assessment
Chiropractor Dr Mike Black is available for consultation at Clovelly Family Chiropractic Centre for children’s’ health issues. His further studies in Chiropractic Paediatrics assist in helping a wide range of health problems in children. We recommend all children have their spines assessed in their young, growing years.
Pregnancy Care
Chiropractor Dr Mike Black in addition to standard Chiropractic Techniques practices Webster Technique which through specific Chiropractic Adjustments and muscle releases aids in the gentle turning of abnormal presentations (breech/posterior) of the baby in pregnant women.
Multi-Disciplinary Approach
This Centre operates in close consultation and referral with a number of local General Medical Practitioners, as such we have an understanding of the standard Medical approach to Health Care as they do of Chiropractic Care. If required a referral is immediately given to a medical practitioner should your problem require one for further imaging or investigation.
We have long held that offering various other services in the Centre in addition to Chiropractic complements our care and adds value for our clients. We encourage the use of regular Deep Remedial Massage, and correct lower limb balancing with Orthotics. Our Centre offers both of these services. Call for details.

DR MICHAEL D. BLACK
Mike Black began his six year full-time chiropractic education at Macquarie University in Sydney. First came an Undergraduate Degree in Chiropractic Science then a Postgraduate Master of Chiropractic Degree.
Courses included biochemistry, molecular biology, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, biomechanics, radiography and X-ray analysis, orthopaedics, neurology, clinical diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Macquarie University Chiropractic Outpatient Clinics.
Mike has completed The International Chiropractic Sport Science Diploma (ICSSD) which enhances his current skills and aims to produce a well-rounded individual chiropractor, who is specifically qualified to work with athletes and sporting teams at sporting events throughout the world. Furthermore, it is the qualification required to be part of a FICS chiropractic delegation for a national or international event such as the Olympic and World Games.
