Chronic mouth breathing can have a major influence on the facial development, dental arch development and the crowding of teeth. It leads to forward head posture and a forward tongue position, also altering the jaw position. Studies are also showing that mouth breathing is very strongly related to the modern epidemic of ADHD, hyperactivity and attention deficit. Maybe we don't have to subject our children to potent medication after all???
