Naturopathy

Naturopathy is based on the principle that the human body is designed as a self regulating and self repairing system when given the right conditions.
The right conidtions include optimum hydration with pure water, good nutrition, moderate exercise, healthy relationships and positive attitudes to life's purposes and challenges.
Achieving wellness is achieved by identifying the causes of ill health, then removing the blocks to recuperation. Followed by supplying the nutrients needed to achieve optimum health, stimulating the body's healing processes and changing lifestyle factors needed for recovery.

Modalities that may be used to assist in this process may include:
  • Nutritional advice and supplementation for better health.

  • Herbal medicine to assist recovery.

  • Homeopathy to stimulate the body's regulatory systems.

  • Exercise programs and lifestyle changes for better health and fitness

  • Weight management and body composition analysis

  • Detoxification of the gut, liver and lymphatics

  • Flower essences to assist with emotional stress




Kinesiology

Kinesiology refers the study of muscle function and body movement. Kinesiology also relates to the acupuncture/ acupressure meridian system of Chinese Traditional Medicine.

Muscle testing may be used to access the neuromuscular coordination of the brain and the specific muscles being tested. Only light pressure is needed for this process.
Muscle response testing can be used to identify and assist in correcting imbalances in the body's structural, biochemical, emotional and energy systems.

Kinesiology is valuable in assiting and relieving the following types of problems:
  • Relief of back, neck and limb pain.

  • Improving sports performance

  • Headache relief

  • Identifying allergies and sensitivities

  • NAET allergy and sensitivity desensitization technique

  • Emotional stress release from reactions to past traumatic events

  • Assiting with dyslexia, memory and learning difficulties

  • Improving management of ADD and ADHD

  • Setting and achieving specific personal goals




Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is valuable for assisting in recovery the following types of problems:
  • Release and stretching of tight, painful muscles.

  • Release of tightness and adhesions in the body's facial connective tissue that surrounds most muscles and organs

  • Joint mobilization

  • Recuperation from sports and other injuries

  • Releasing the body's chronic stress holding patterns

    Bachelor of Health Science in Complementary Medicine
    Diploma of Naturopathy
    Diploma of Remedial Massage
    Kinesiology training in a variety of modalities
    Division 1 Nursing in Coronary Care, Intensive Care and Accident and Emergency

    ATMS (Naturopathy), AAMT (Remedial Massage), AKA (Kinesiology)
