About Me
I am originally from New Zealand and completed my Counselling & Psychotherapy training with the Human Development and Training Institute in Auckland.
I attended a comprehensive 4 year course of study where the emphasis was on a solid understanding of therapeutic theory and skills, as well as ones own self-development and healing and experiential learning in the group. I later received a Coaching Certificate from the NZ School of Coaching.
I believe in ongoing self-development and up-skilling and have consequently been training and working in the field of Trauma Informed Care as it relates to childhood trauma and abuse in adults, youth and children.
I have worked with all types of people, individuals, couples, and groups, and am passionate about the process of understanding, healing, growth and change.
My own journey has been one of facing and healing my past, accepting who I am and constantly creating myself and the life I want to live in this moment.
I have studied many different practices and beliefs over the years and have always been intrigued with the human condition and our striving to understand ourselves. At different times I have achieved the seemingly impossible and now know that anything is actually possible, we often just need the right guidance and support along the way.
I have persevered and been lucky enough to come across some great people in my life who have actively facilitated my growth. Those experiences inspired me to formalise my studies and to train as a Psychotherapist and Life Coach. To be someone who is there for others - so that they may also explore, discover, release, grow, change and above all be empowered to create differently for themselves.
