Personal growth and empowerment through creativity
SERVICES
Welcome to Jennifer Berlingieri, Creative Arts Therapy & Counselling
“Often it is necessary to clarify a vague content by giving it visible form…
Often the hands know how to solve a riddle with which
the intellect has wrestled in vain.” ~Carl Jung
In Creative Arts Therapy sessions, we use creative therapy and counselling to support and encourage self-exploration and personal development. It is appropriate for anyone who is interested in deeper self-awareness and personal growth, and no previous arts experience is necessary.
Sessions can be helpful for any age group, individuals, groups, couples and families, for a wide range of situations, including:
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Mental health
- Depression
- Addictions
- Creative blocks
- Grief & Loss
- Life direction
- Relationships
- Sexuality
- Eating Disorders
- Trauma
- Self Esteem issues
- Disabilities
Sessions are also useful for people who wish to access their more intuitive, creative selves and have the opportunity to explore a variety of arts modalities.
Through group or individual sessions, we can use Art Therapy, (drawing, painting, clay, symbols) body awareness, mindfulness, Dance Therapy, meditation, writing, music, and more to explore authentic expression, access new insights and understanding. We can use these creative modalities, in combination with talking, to investigate important issues and ideas in a holistic, empowering way.

Private Sessions
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Private sessions are a chance to focus on your personal exploration exclusively and are tailored to what is most appropriate for you in each session. We will work from a person-centred, strengths based approach to explore issues at hand, encourage self-awareness and nurture empowerment. We can collaborate to choose a variety of therapy modalities, depending on what seems most helpful at the time. Most often, a combination of Art Therapy and Counselling is used, but we also may choose to use symbols, Dance/Movement Therapy, writing, mindfulness and more. If you feel like it could take you a few sessions to warm up to the creative modalities, don't worry! We can start slowly with Counselling sessions and progress from there.
Private sessions are available by appointment and usually run for one and a half hours. Daytime and evening sessions are available.

Weekly Groups
“Life expands and contracts in proportion to one’s courage.”
~Anais Nin
Weekly Creative Arts Therapy groups have been assisting people from all over Melbourne to open up and explore their creativity and self-awareness since 2006.
Weekly groups are an opportunity to use a variety of Creative Arts Therapy processes, over a consistent period of time, in order to deepen your self-inquiry. Weekly groups provide the time to try out many creative modalities, including Art Therapy: painting, drawing, clay, collage, mixed media sculpture, Dance-Movement therapy, body awareness, mindfulness, symbols, writing and more, in order to take your personal exploration deeper. They are also a chance to commit some time each week to reflect, access new insight, and re-energise your inspiration.
