What is Art Therapy?

Art-therapy is a form of therapy.“Therapy” meaning to be attentive. In a session we use art materials such as crayons, paints and pencils. It is different to an art class because the focus is on the feelings and images that come from inside the person, rather than what they see and paint outside.

No previous art-making experience is necessary. It is suitable for adults and children.

HOW CAN ART-THERAPY HELP
  • Art -making is an opportunity to express one’s self, the process can be healing and
    therapeutic.
  • It is a safe way to express feelings that are difficult to discuss. It is non-threatening.
  • It can help improve emotional wellbeing by releasing stress.
  • It can clarify issues and concerns.
  • It stimulates imagination and creativity.

Session Cost:$60 dollars. Pay for two sessions get the next session half price.

Includes all materials.
