What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a detailed, holistic, hands-on physical therapy for a wide range of conditions. Osteopathy is a growing profession that is internationally recognised and is a scientifically based complimentary medical practice. Osteopathic treatment can include soft-tissue massage, stretching, joint articulation (if appropriate), exercise therapy and education on ergonomics, posture, exercise, breathing patterns, diet and lifestyle.

Naturopathy - Shannon Rylands
Natropathy provides holistic treatment of the patient by the way of traditional healing systems, in particular, Western Herbal Medicine and Nutrition. It can be used as an additional therapy with conventional medicine or on it's own to treat any disorder of the body or mind. Natropathy has a long history and has been well researched and supported. A natropath will work with a patient to promote the natural healing ability of the body and strenghten it's natural defences.
Acupuncture - Shannon Rylands
Dry needling and acupuncture is used in the treatment of injuries, musculoskeletal and constitutional imbalances, relieving muscle pain and spasms and improving circulation. It is also effective for tendon and ligament sprains or strains and chronic injuries that have responded poorly to other treatments.
Pilates - Amanda Groznik
Pilates at Dapto Osteopathic Clinic is an active exercise session where a trained instructor observes and interacts with each patient as they go through specific exercise programme designed for them. These exercise programmes emphasise postural muscle control, core streghthening, dynamic balance and control. We offer 1-on-1 Pilates and small group classes. We also offer dual consultations with Pilates instructor and osteopath in order to ensure you are doing the right exercise for you and you are doing them correctly.
Remedial & Relaxation Massage - Shannon Rylands & Carla Hayes
Remedial massage is a hands-on treatment that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow for a variety of ailments. Massage Therapists identify biomechanical dysfunction, and work on muscles and other soft tissue to relieve tension and stress in order to promote well-being. Our massage therapists have all obtained a diploma in remedial massage, have health fund accreditation and are members of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

Bulk Billing
Ask your GP if you are eligible for referral under Medicare’s Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme. We are currently bulk billing EPC and DVA patients.
