Hi my name is Delia. I am your massage therapist here at Deep Purple Massage in beautiful Drouin.

I started Deep Purple in 2011 after working fifteen years in the corporate world. I was successful but not happy with my job as I felt that I was not doing my true calling. I always loved massaging and for many years I would massage friends and family members and each of them would tell me I should be doing this professionally because of the relief I gave them. I finally decided to take their advice and take the proverbial “jump” and follow my dream and my passion to become a masseuse.

At Deep Purple I believe that each client should be tailored to their individual needs and as such I offer different massages such as Deep Tissue, Remedial and Relaxation Therapies. Massages range from 1/2hr (half body) to 1hr (full body) normal times, however I do offer 1 1/2hr massages for those clients who need that additional time because of the pain they are experiencing.

It brings me great joy and a sense of fulfilment when I bring that relief to my clients and nothing could be more self rewarding than doing what you truly love and at the same time easing the pain of others.

Remedial and Relaxation Therapies
Remedial massage is probably the most popular form of massage therapy in Australia and focuses on the treatment of soft tissue injuries, aching muscles and postural imbalances using a variety of techniques. When overworked muscles become tight, knotted or damaged, remedial massage can provide a healing treatment that can be gentle or deep.

Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue massage to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two. Deep tissue work varies greatly.
