The human body requires at least 92 nutrients to function properly. This being 60 minerals, 17 vitamins, 12 amino acids and 3 fatty acids. When the body is out of balance, amino acids are essential and must be provided from supplements. Deficiencies may cause a decrease of growth in children, delay puberty, fatty liver, glucose intolerance, gut infections, infertility, elevated cholesterol, obesity, fatigue and skin rashes. Omega 3 essential fatty acids have significant anti-inflammatory properties and appear to be beneficial for cardiovascular health by reducing the risk of cardiac arrests and stroke.
